Show Me the Money!: How to approach online moneymaking?

"Show me the money!" should be the motto of everyone engaged in online moneymaking. This popular quotation from the 1996 movie, Jerry Maguire, underlies a very important principle beginners need to realize: A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Translation: Cyber dollars are no good until they are in your bank account. For me, making a lot of money online should not be the first priority. It's distracting. Proving that the money is real should be top priority. This means moving the money from your moneymaking accounts to PayPal and finally, transferring that money to your bank account. Anyway, I've made my first bank withdrawal last week. So, it's official. I'm no longer a beginner at online moneymaking. Thanks to some effective moneymaking principles and decisions. How's your approach to online moneymaking?

My approach to making money online is... don't pay anything up front. Find sites that are both legitimate, and free to join. Work those sites first, get paid a time or two, then decide if upgrading (only after you've made money) is worth it for you. Do as many of these legitimate sites as you can handle everyday and start creating several small streams of income. As you do that, promote your referral link for these sites. Attracting referrals, followers and customers to your "business" will help you to earn quicker and more often. There are many ways to earn money online. Start small, and begin to branch out to other things as you gain confidence. Remember that promoting your programs and branding yourself is the key to growing your earnings. The money you made online became a reality for you when you received it in your account...Congrats!

Robin, you are so right. I am at that phase at this time. For the longest I only was doing MyLot, which is more or less an earning hobby. I have taken some Freelance assignments, but not enjoyed them. I am now into enjoying and earning at the same time.

I'm as pragmatic as you are. I only trust the site if I can get the money with no strings attached.

I have been fooling around with online money making for a few years now going from one thing to another. I have had some hits and some misses, but I have now decided to concentrate more on affiliate marketing and doing it the right way and I have had some success. I plan to keep at it and just repeat the successful things that work.

No approach yet. Just a job. But I think making money online can be a great hobby.

Well, I must admit that I had fun making money online. You should try earning online, too.

I agree, it was once hard for me to get someone who will believe that earning money online is possible. But one of the tiring thing to do is to convince others not unless you show them the money. Money in hand is better than in the bank, I even take a photo of me holding a bundle of money as a proof that I earned that money online. There was this saying that I always keep on my mind that when money talks every one is listen.

That's why I actually kept the transaction slip when I withdrew last week all my online earnings for the first time. I'd like to be able to show people some official document.

Trying to earn more money should be done later. Getting some money first should be the top priority because you will experience firsthand certain prerequisites to making money. And one of them is getting your PayPal account verified.

In my opinion, it is best to make your first bank withdrawal if only to prove that the money is real.

I think my approach is to not think about how much you need to earn or how to earn a certain amount but to just participate regularly and then you will see your earnings rise. I think that a lot of people quit because they don't see the results instantly. If they would stay for a bit longer they would probably start earning regularly.

I do this: - always research every money making method carefully to make sure it is not a scam, I do not want to waste my time on scams. - try to be patient, since it takes time before you start earning big with most methods - set goals for myself, so I know more or less what I will be making. This works out pretty well for me!

I agree that goal-setting is an important part of moneymaking. It's quite easy to get distracted by "once in a lifetime" opportunities bursting into the scene. Many wrong decisions were made because we allowed ourselves to be fearful of missing an opportunity.
