Boehner has said that he is willing to look at the proposed tax package if thats the best they can do. With the administration calling the Republican Party the party of "no" and saying they have no new ideas, reminds me something Reagan said when Kennedy accused him of the same thing. I dont have the exact text but essentially, no we dont have new ideas, we keep going off the old one - the Constitution. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/09/12/obama-economic-adviser-afford-tax-cuts-high-end-earners/

I'd rather say no, than to say yes to another stupid move proposed by Obama, Pelosi and Reid... They don't have a clue how to get this economy moving again, how to get people working again, reduce the deficit, etc., etc. etc. I'm looking forward to seeing the Republicans platform to be unveiled before the Nov election. I doubt it'll be a platform of "no".

It never has been, they just disagree on the way to fix things. Goodness who can afford anymore social programs?

Saying No is actually a good thing. I don't know why the Democrats always try to portray it as something bad.

I would rather see Boehner and the Repubs hold their ground. The whole "lesser of two evils" idea is what has gotten us in the hot water we are in. I know that "compromise" is the life-blood of DC, but compromise always has fiscal conservatives moving to the left, never do collectivists move to the right. Reagan had it right, the Constitution should be the benchmark for all decisions.
