It is nice book. The framing of story from start till end is brilliant . The book gives a good knowledge of England and its customs.

I only recently managed to finish it this year. It was on my to read list long before that. I'm glad I did finish it, because I liked it a lot. Now I really get why women like Mr. Darcy.

I haven't read this book yet, but it is a book that I must read one day. I had watched its movie anyway. However, I don't think the movie is filmed very good. It is somewhat disappointing. And therefore I must read this book in person one day. I love China

The book"Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austin is an excellent novel and I have also read it.It is an old story but the ideas presented there are everlasting. They equally apply to modern life also.We should appreciate the author for weaving such a story in a beautiful way in order to convey the message which is universally applicable to all times. There are many such books but few read them.I read it when I was a youth. But modern youth are fully preoccupied with TV and Internet and they are also not interested in reading lengthy stories. They may read but only short stories.Am I right?

I have read the book when I was in high school. I was touched by the novel as it begins by stating: it is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in a want of a wife. I think this is natural and common to a wealthy and young gentleman. If he has already the wealth, then, he will have no problem if he has a family. What is your opinion? Moreover, one topic which is exposed in the novel is the differences of people in the society or a social class portrayed in the relationship between Elizabeth and Darcy. Their different situation is also common to some of the lovers today. The other is privilege enough while the other is not. What will you do if your beloved is of different state when it compare to yours like the other is rich while the other is poor? How will you resolve the criticism of others?

I read it back in high school for my senior year paper. I really enjoyed it. My husband has since found Pride Prejudice and Zombies. It was the only way I could get him to read it. Besides adding a Zombie apocolypse to the story line, it stays pretty close to the true story line.
