I really fell for Patrick Swayze when I saw him in To Wong Foo Thanks For Everything Julie Newmar when he and Wesley Snipes play gay gals. Oh my Gosh! For macho guys to lose the masculine veneer and take on the female personna- you don't know what that did for me! That movie is on my annual list of must sees. One my daughter and I enjoy together. Wow! Anyway,- I just noticed a nice article I thought I would share with you. **(Disclaimer: It is a bit touching and about grief so beware if you are emotional like me.) Was he a favorite of yours? Are you a dirty dancing fan? Have you seen To Wong Foo? Did you like it? What scene did you enjoy the most? I liked where Noxzema(the character Wesley plays in the movie) follows that old lady home and comments on her U-tuen. So funny!

I was much more a Roadhouse fan than a Dirty Dancing one. Ofcouse with the former you get two cuties for the price of one. I guess I am too into macho and dancers never hit me as such. You should check the Too Wong Foo one out.I think you might be pleasantly surprised. It has a good story line. I am taken by their acting in it. Macho guys as drag queens just blows me away. Fun movie.

Dirty Dancing was good. I enjoyed it as well. To WOng Foo is about three drag queens traveling across country until their car breaks down and they are stuck in a small town. They meet some characters that live there and even empart some womanly wisdom along the way. Good movie. I thought it so cool for two macho guys to play drag queens. Took alot of nerve on their part.John Leguizamo is the other drag queen that they teach the ropes. Stockard Channing, Blythe Danner and Chris Penn also starred in it. I like the odd ball sort of films.

That is a good one. I am finding that few gals have seen To Wong Foo and it was a marvelous film. You should catch it if you have a chance. The two of them have alot of fun in it.

Hey celtic~ It is hard to believe that a year has gone by already.
I read an interview with his wife the other day and it said
she is still trying to deal with her loss. They were very much
in love. I loved Patric Swayze in "Dirty Dancing"! That was
my favorite movie of his and then comes "Ghost" or whatever
that one was called with Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg!
He was an incredible and humble actor and he is definitely missed!
RIP Patrick, and know how much you were loved by so many~

So true! Yes, I truly enjoyed Ghost as well. Never really big on the Dirty Dancing one though. He was strong to the last. What a guy!

Thanks for the article it was very engaging while reading. I too can't believe it has been a full year.
He left so many memorable moments during all his filming career. I did see the interview the other day where his wife too is amazed as she misses him dearly.
