We are using both cell phone for every member and land line for mother. My mother and MIL not understand the function of cell phone so they use land line phone for calling.

We don't have one. I think it is more convenient to have cellphones as you can contact the person wherever he is. Having a landline would just be another unnecessary expense for my family.

Yes, I use the landline phone. In fact, I don't use cell phone when I am in town. I carry a cell phone only when I go out of town. And, I also make sure that I am not on the cell phone while driving. Landline phone is convenient and the services of phone companies these days are excellent.

We don't have a landline phone anymore. We got rid of it when we moved out of our house and started renting property. We considered getting a line initially, but we eventually decided that it would just be another unnecessary expense because my aunt and I both have cellphones and tend to ignore the house phone when it rings anyway.

We don't have land line phone any longer. We don't need it because we are not always in our home. And because we already has a cellphone for our contacts.

I had a landline phone for 16 years with the same telephone number. As the years went on I only kept it as it was necessary for the cable tv and alarm system. Since I no longer have either there went the landline as simultaneously we all had cell phones. So I find it cheaper and wiser to just have cell phones.

Yes, We do still have one. I like having one place for peopel to reach us. Plus like others have said we have had the number for so long that I think it would be confusing for those closest to us to no longer have that number to call us at. Plus with the land line someone does not have to call one of exclusively. Sometimes people can talk to either my husband or me and it is easy to reach either one of us on the home phone.

Yes we do still have a land line. Mostly because we have had this number for a long time and most of our friends and family know it by heart so it is best for them that we leave it the way it is. We do have cell phones as well though. I suppose if we had to cut back on expenses the land line would be a good place to start. Technically we could live with out it since have the cell phones now, but it is nice to have one central place to reach any one in my family.

yes I do, because my mobile phone is on PAYG so I dont get any "free" calls/texts by having a contract.

We don't have land lines in our house as of now. We actually don't need it because of cell phones. Also, we're not always at home so no one can contact us in that. But, I think land line is still of use today. Many bank needs a land line number if someone wants to apply for a credit card.

i have a landline and a mobile,i've always had both,if i just had a landline then people couldn't contact me while i was out,and if i just had a mobile my bill would be a fortune,i get free texts on my mobile, and free calls to certain numbers on my landline,so my bills are normally quite cheap

I still have a land line and don't have a cell phone. I just hate the idea of walking around with a phone. I prefer the liberty I have not have a cell phone. I actually find it quite annoying when I'm with people and they are constantly checking their phones or get absorbed in phone conversations.
