Hi My Friendly Crafters!
I'm soooo sorry,
but for some reason I cannot post the picture, and believe me I tried over and over and over again. I did everything possible to get this picture up but I keep getting this......"Unable to post content, please modify your text to only include letters, numbers, and standard punctuation." I have NO IDEA what myLot is talking about. I just called it a Mini Halloween Candle.
I've posted pictures before on myLot with no problem and this is the same camera, same size pictures, etc. I even tried posting in my profile for everyone, plus, I even tried posting it into one of the responses from my first discussion, and it still won't let me. I do have it on Facebook, no problem putting picture up, and I will be putting it up on Ebay just for kicks. I'm really sorry but wanted to let you know about the photo because some of you wanted to see it, but I really did try hard.
I've was messing around all day on Saturday with this and actually had so much fun. I want to Thank everyone who helped me out with their suggestions. I kind of put all of them to good use and although this is not the way I'm going to do them, I couldn't wait to get started and just play around.
My first discussion was on how to figure out getting liquid wax into this teeny, weeny bottle which is 1" high.
I just used what I had on hand to work with until I get to the store, so for my funnel, haha, I used a piece of paper and made a funnel out of it. I just lit a candle and let it melt a bit and ended up pouring the wax into the bottle. Yes, it was a mess at first but I cleaned it up for the picture of course. I didn't do anything on the stove, no cans, no pots, nothing like that.
I found a small picture of a vintage Halloween postcard with a Black Cat on it and used that for the label. This was found in one of my wholesale catalogs, so I just used Elmer's Glue to stick it on and then repeated a second coat over the image to seal it.
Thanks again everyone for all your help!

Am glad you had a fun time making the candles. Am wondering if a paper towel would be less of a mess to clean up if you used it as a temporary funnel. Don't know if it would roll off the paper towel as well as paper though so that might not be the best idea. I haven't posted a picture on here in quite awhile but I use to have a terrible time getting any of my photos to post. Thanks for the update.

I know the feeling. Don't have any completed crafts right this minute and no batteries in my digital. I am in good shape....lol Otherwise I would try to post a photo here of a finished project and see if it works. Maybe myLot was having a bad overload day!

Yes, I wish you did have something to put up with a picture. I'd like to see if it works for you.
It was more like a bad overload on "3" days...I tried on Saturday, Sunday, and yesterday, and I mean over and over again.
It just kept coming up with the same message of "unable to post content, please modify your text to only include letters, numbers, and standard punctuation." Well, I had no numbers, no punctuation used, and it only said mini halloween candle, and that was my letters. UGh!! It had nothing to do with the discussion, it was only the photo, grrr. I'm getting all worked up again, haha! All I can say is, it was ridiculous but I tried my heart out to no avail. I even tried early in the morning thinking maybe there will be less people on, nope.

Hi Carol,
I did have fun doing this as it was something new and quite a challenge. I just wanted to see what it would look like, and it came out cute. The paper worked fine, it was just a matter of pouring too much so it overflowed. I'm going to try an eyedropper and see if that will work. I might be able to control the flow a bit better.
I've posted pictures here before but never had any problems like this, and I have no idea what the message meant. I was really quite aggravated as I spent so much time trying to get this on so everyone could see it...very disappointing.

Hi gabs..I just emailed you, not through myLot but your regular email.
I have no idea why I can't post my picture here of my little candles. They come up with no problems on Ebay and Facebook but not here. I use to post pictures here once in a while but not lately.
Yes, I'm having alot of fun doing the candles and I'm going to keep doing them. I'd like to get myself known on Ebay in that particular category. I am starting to do more different items too for the dollhouses since I use to craft miniature items years ago. I enjoy it....wish my eyes were a little better though, haha.

Oh GG, I've been trying to post this picture since Saturday when I completed it. It keeps saying the same thing all the time. Do you have any idea why? I tried to do this Saturday, Sunday, and this morning, and I've tried every way I could possibly try. I don't know what's wrong. I'm going to try right now and see what happens...keep your fingers crossed.
unable to post content. please modify your text to only include letters, numbers, and standard punctuation...this is copied from what comes up when I try.
Nope, it won't work. I hope someone can give me an answer to this.

AH.....too bad but I know what you are going through...sometimes it show my picture has uploaded then it doesn't appear with the discussion....it must be somewhere buried in mylot land. Sounds cute though! Hopefully someday you'll be able to get it to work.

I knowwwww, it's sooo aggravating! I already posted in on Facebook and I just put it on Ebay a few hours ago with no problems. I just don't get it.'
So you sometimes have problems too, hmm. This is the only site I have problems with, like losing my responses all the time. Now I copy all my responses, especially if they're long one's, and if it doesn't work, I just paste it back. I really wanted to show everyone too, darn it! It's not exactly what I had in mind as my final but it still came out cute. I need some orange and black candles to use and I thought next time I'll put a little tiny bit of raffia around the top lip of the bottle.

Awww, I wanted to see it..Could your picture be too big? Because that is what usually happens when I try uploading a picture that is too big and what I do is open the picture in paint and hit image then sketch/skew and I make it smaller, usually make it 50 or 40 percent. This doesn't affect the picture other than making it possible to upload here.

No, unfortunately, it's not too big. It's the same size I've always used to post pictures here. I tried again this morning, nope. I give up. I'm going to PM you though.
