Does anybody believe in bad omen/bad luck?

Today was a horrible day. Early in the morning I fell off the stairs and luckily my backbone is still intact, it was painful experience. Later in the evening, I slipped while going out on the bicycle (No, I was not riding it, in fact was trying to get it) and It hurt me on the right ribs in such a horrible way that it is paining even when I breathe. I have got the X-ray done and there is nothing damaged.
What I couldn't believe was that why on earth I met with the accident twice in the same day. was it my bad luck??
Does anybody believe in bad omen/bad luck??

Hi I am from India, the land of superstions and blind beliefs.I am not different.There are many blind beliefs in me and also some of the orthodox family.My mother says when you go out to do some good work never turn back to anybody's call otherwise your work will stay like that.You will not be able to complete it.I don't know how far it is true but I have experimented this in many ocassions and found that it is somewhat true.Ther are also many other such beliefs that I have.I fyou believe then it is true otherwise its nothing.

Many a time it happens that when something wrong is happened to me in the morning then the whole day will get wrong , as whole day something something wrong happened ..while I try to be more careful but still things got slip from my hand..I could say I believe in bad day or bad luck and good luck also.
