Hi VVS Lakshman has contributed a lot to indian side mainly in test matches , he has saved many matches through his performance in his second innings. He has a Very good record against Ausis and most of his 100's made are against Ausis. He is the only indian player who has very good batting record against ausis.... I Belive that lakshman should be taken back into the oneday team when and when the matches against Ausis... "HE SHOULD BE TAKEN INTO THE WORLD CUPSIDE AS AN EXTRA PLAYER AND ALLOW HIM TO PLAY THE MATCHES AGAINST AUSIS" . What do you belive..will this really work?

No I don't think He should be given a chance in oneday. There is no question on his caliber. But giving chances to some youngsters is also equally important. He is a real Test player.I think he should concentrate on the coming series. And you really can't make combinations for a big tournament like worldcup in such a fashion.Like taking someone in the squad to make him play agains't one particular team is really ridcelous. But yeah Rahul Dravid can be someone you can be consider in world cup.Anyways thanks for sharing your thoughts.Have a nice day

I am totally disagreeing with you. Laxman has good records in both format of cricket. But India has best one day players now in scene. So restricting Laxman,s play to test cricket will be a good option. His style of playing will be more suited to test cricket.

Although He is a very good player against Aussie, but he has fitness problems, poor running between wickets and also cant play big shots when needed. India has many other options. So he should not be included in World Cup Team

i dont think vvs laxman will get a chance to enter the odi team once again. there are many young talents waiting to grab the chance of a free spot. so why should we go back and pick vvs in worldcup team?

no i dnt think so,that vvs laxman will taken back in the side,a s we all knw that he is a good player but he is still not fit for the one day matches,we will try him in a upcoming test series against australia,as we all know that he played australian bowlers very smartly,.. so its better for the indian team to keep out of the world cup.....

Sorry to say you that I don't agree with your opinion that V.V.S.Laxman be brought back in the one-day side.He is a typical test player where one will get a huge time to spare in the crease. But at the same time when he does the same in one-dayers,the balls get wasted and definitely it will effect the scoring rate....

I am sorry to say I can't go with your thought. No doubt he is a good, sorry great player for India. Even I was surprised when he was not picked in All Time Best Test Team for India. But he has no part to play in ODIs anymore. It is not all about scoring runs in ODI, it's about sharp fielding and tough running. Which I believe Laxman can't do as good as any youngster will do.

No I don't think he should be given a chance in shorter formats. He is a real test batsman and he love doing this. There isno question on his caliber. But giving chances to some youngsters is also equally important.I think he should concentrate for the coming series. And you really can't make combinations for a big tournament like worldcup in such a fashion.Like taking someone in the squad for making him play agains't one particular team is really ridicelous. But Rahul Dravid can be someone selectors may consider for worldcup.Anyways thanks for sharing your thoughts.Have a nice day
