Fess up everyone, come on you know you did it! No don't act like you didn't! Sitting there trying to hide a grin! You did it too, well wait no I never did but you you did! Come on Fess Up Already! You were the smart aleck who, when the teacher called roll saying "Say here or present" no you you just had to say it didn't you? come on you did you know you did! You said "President" instead? Or was I the only one with wacky classmates who called "President" instead of Present?

Well, who would start a conversation like that? Is that how our modern teenagers talk? I just don't know how to react to all these conversations.

No! It wasn't me! I never said 'president' when the teacher called the roll. But I once said 'yo' and it elicited laughter from my classmates. And it was for a recent class, so I might have been older than the teacher.

I'm embarrassed to say that I never thought of that one.

I can see you're trying to pin this on me and you want me to 'a you'd really like it if I would just come out and, oh well I can say with great certainty and presents of mind that I was the one, but that's just me talking and I'm sure it would be irrelevant in the end so I'm not saying... By the way, it really is you! There were no presidents in my classroom.

Nope...Can’t say I have ever done that! Didn’t think of it at the time, darn it! If I remember correctly some of my teachers in those days were real grumps so I probably would have got into serious trouble if I had dared...I remember one boy answering with a loud ‘Yes Sir!’ in an army style voice and getting told to get out of the classroom!

Hey tell me frankly, have you changed yourself after marriage? Some of your discussions are out of focus these days. Or is it post-marriage effect? Any way just joking. Take it sportingly. Be happy in what ever you do. Present or President. Absent or Ambassador. Answer to what you have heard. Period.

I thought you were going to accuse those who gave proxy for their friends. If this has been the case then you just cant accuse me because for sometime or most of the time it was me who took the attendance and with complete loyalty. But in this case if ever I would have come to know about this a tiny little bit earlier I would have exploited every opportunity of 'presidenting' my attendance.

You had me going for a minute thinking about a whole lot of scenarios that I possibly could have admitted to and unfortunately this is not one. I have never heard this one before but think now that you mentioned it I may be apt to using it from time to time here on in.

LOL I never heard anyone say "president" and I graduated only 2 years ago so I would recall something as funny as that. I think when we had teachers call roll we would say anything BUT present or here just to annoy the teacher.

Never heard that one either. While we are considering humorous stuff though I have to tell you that my hubby went to school with Daniel Boone, and his brother Pat, and Davey Crockett. What were those parents thinking? Anyway, he recalls when a sub had them sign in and threatened to tell the teacher they were signing in with fake names.

LOL, most of my teachers never seemed to have much of a humurous side, so no I never did, to afraid of getting in trouble. I had other classmates though that would sometimes push the envelope. That was just about the time though that they stopped spankings in my school, around the 2nd or 3rd grade. Then we moved to standing in the corner, not a fun place to be.
