I've always wanted to learn a new language because it can provide me with more opportunity. I'm still thinking which language is the best for my purpose of finding a greener pasture: Japanese, Spanish, French or Chinese?

Hello friend, you are following very good direction with the languages. They are good way for you to make your own business or to earn more money.
I don't know where are you from, but i can see that you deal pretty good with the english language. Lately whole the world is using it as a first language, so you just need to check what other language will be more useful for you.

Depends on what kind of job do you want to do. English is the most useful one, specially if you're going for IT related jobs, as English is used for many things. Spanish would be really useful too, as is spoken in many countries in the world.
I don't find Chinese or Japanese that useful unless you're going to work in China or Japan.

I think Chinese mandarin is the best language to learn for business after English these days since a lot of companies and businesses open their factories in China now. Mandarin is also the language with the most speakers in the world (over 1 billion in China alone not counting speakers in other countries).
But I guess it all depends on where you are and the people that you do business with. If you deal more with French people for example then probably French is your best choice.
Chinese Mandarin is a little bit difficult though. The spoken language uses tones in order to differentiate meanings. The written language is complicated because they don't use the alphabet but Chinese Characters (there are thousands of chinese characters).
There is an easier writing system called pinyin which uses the alphabet but it doesn't represent the true writing system in China.
