Although there have been so many expansion pack for this game I still like playing the original SIMS. I actually only play this game because I want to build the house that I really want. How and where the rooms or the furnitures should be. The windows facing the right angel. I became obsessed with this game and wanted to even print the house that I've made. The shape of the house above is heart shape hehehe.... And I even added swimming pools and lightings that makes the house well lighted at night. Specially the front and back yard. Anyone here who also plays SIMS just to build their own DREAM HOUSE?

Its been a long while since i have ever played the sims. But i usually like it because of its reality, not because of building houses alone. Although i do love to build the perfect house. When i only want to build house i might cheat the game to get money but that after a while gets really boring. So i always prefer to play the game fair. Just talking about this game makes me want to install it back on my computer to play it.

I know. Patience is one of the key roles in this game. If you do not have any i doubt you will ever succeed in it. You just need to think and put your actions to work in a sequential manner so your sim doesnt feel stressed.

YEs I do agree that it can really be addictive! I haven't tried SIMS3 yet, is this the one where you can build your own city, that's what I heard. Anyways, yes I love to build houses, and yes I agree its much like you're designing and redesigning at no costs. And what's more you get to know how to manage our resources too. THe time, energy as well as maintaining relationships with friends. IT's really amusing when your character gets married right? And then comes the baby! Time management really becomes challenging! Yet its really fun right! Happy playing SIMS!

i don't know with SIMS3 if its like SIMS CITY where you can build your own city. what i know is that you can build buildings or houses or parks but not totally SIMS CITY style... yes its really addictive. i can go on playing this game for how many hours without noticing time... i only notice it if i need to eat, take a shower, sleep or go to work LOL...

OMG you really love this game... I tried the expansion packs as well but it made my computer so slow i just gave up on them and played the originals. i don't like the Makin' Magic expansion as well... I don't know why but for me its just a waste of time... hehehe.... my laptop right now can't handle the SIMS 3 so i'm not playing it but hopefully when i have an upgrade i will definitely try the new one... i've played it its just not in my laptop and its frustrating since the graphics really need a high video card to appreciate it... i think i will need to buy an external hard-disk if i will play this again religiously... good to know there's a lot of people playing this game...

I totally agree with you freymind. This game is addicting, There was even one time, I played it for straight 8 hours. The choices are endless. Maybe one reason I am into this is because I am a frustrated Architect or Interior Designer, this way, I can create, delete or modify anything with no harm and no cost. One thing, I want to create an ideal family, like one is going to work, one is staying at home looking for children, etc., Probably, subconsciously, I want it to make it happen in my life.. Well, whatever it may be, I'll still one of the million fans from the Classic The Sims till The Sims3.

hi eykah13, i totally agree with you too!!! i became addicted in this game also when I started drafting in high school and we had a project about the ideal home that we want to build. with the help of this game i had designed my perfect dream home and got an A+ for my project. yap!!! no harm, no cost and you can change it if your mind changes as well. i haven't tried SIMS 3 though I am already a VIP but i only get newsletters about new stuffs for the game.. I will try that as well. I have to upgrade first if I really want to... 8 hours straight... I have done that as well... My mom was like already shouting at me to eat and take a shower since from morning till afternoon i've been hooked to the game... thanks for the comment. have a good weekend!!!

Sims is my favorite game. I can fulfill many of my dreams in this game. Such as I can work very hard to get promotions, and then I will have a good income to build my dream house. Besides, I can have my dream house to get married and have children. It seems that this perfect life can be controlled. I am addicted to this game. I love China

I also play SIMS 1 and SIMS2 because I like how to strive my Sims in their career as they achieve the highest level. I also like how i design my own crib and how I actually interact with my family members. I even had twin babies on Sims2 and taking care of the kids from baby to toddler till they become teenager is really something. I am still completing the level of their skills mode and career mode without using a cheat code. It was really fun playing SIMS.

i tried to do that as well but i guess my patience for games that needs accomplishment is somewhat odd. i tend to be impatient with the careers of the Sims though i've tried it for me its more fulfilling to see the house i built and well i use cheat codes for my building the house... hehehe...

I also like playing The Sims but I got bored after a while. Building houses and buying things for the house are fun though. I also like it when I first created my character. It is like living my dream @_@
