Preserving our culture is one of the most important things we can value in our lives. it is what makes us what we are today. Many of our traditions are based on our cultures. Preserving our cultures will pave our way to the future.,

Nothing remains constant except change. Culture must change with the times. If culture had stayed constant humans would still be hunters and gatherers. People tend to over-value their culture, forgetting that language, fashion, electronics, and education is constantly changing. Even though people will fight to keep their culture constant, nothing can stop change.

Culture? What is culture? Culture is developed by new things, adding them as they come. Think of the old days without the toilets and people had to defecate outside, but when the toilet was developed the practice of outdoor defecation decreased. Culture starts and adds up like age you can't stop it. Preserving would be hard to do and what is the point of doing it? Preserving what is constantly changing is just stupid. I would suggest that it should be enriched because preservation just means your culture is barely there, maybe not even alive anymore. Do you get my point? I think it is bad to just preserve the culture. Culture does not stay the same. Change is the only permanent thing in this world.

I think culture changes everyday, but that is the beauty of it, because that creates history. The core is always there and people will always(hopefully) be curious why and how things have came to be.

It depends a lot on the aspects you decide to focus on. Where I come from, there's a lot of racism, misogyny, and some other similar attitudes which became deeply embedded in the cultural traditions. They found their way into books, plays, folk culture, widely spread jokes - pretty much into every aspect of a cultural heritage. These are things I would like to see discussed more openly in schools, so that the next generation has a fair chance to change things. Other things are worth preserving, especially those that differentiate the culture I was born into from the rest of the world. From my point of view, the most important is language. Lots of words and grammatical structures are borrowed from English every day, and my mother tongue is changing quickly, not always for the best. (Feels weird to say this here, in English ;) )

Hi wiwa! Culture is the link that connects us to our ethnicity and the values, customs and traditions our forefathers and theirs have practiced for generations and which have shaped us the way we are today. With the world shrinking fast and globalization increasing rapidly no man will ever be an island enough to escape the influences that these changes have brought about. I would say that they will affect many cultures and many cultures will never be the same again in years to come.
