Do you think that all political parties and politicians should have to make public all their income including private donations? What could it hurt? Why don't they want you to see?

I feel it is very important that if the representative of any political party I want to basically govern and speak for me be fully trustworthy. Political parties have decieved the public before. I think they should be fully open to the publics scrutiny. I would not vote for anyone that wouldn't feel completely up to opening their books and showing me that I can trust them.

That would be pretty sweet. There is some information online, including like how much a typical governor's salary is (anywhere from $90K to $200K, I hear) and so on, so we kind of have some information available to us, despite the hush hush of the politicians. I think it would be interesting to know. I mean, come on, we already know these people don't exactly represent the working class if they're making $200,000 a year, and we're barely scraping by with $20,000! So perhaps that's why. They don't even want to start on that whole issue. lol. That's capitalism, for you, though!

It is important to know where the money comes from. As they say to solve the crime or to find the answer follow the money.

When I served on a volunteer Board for the County, I had to report every dime of my income. This was a volunteer Board. There was no way I could profit by serving on this Board. The information was not published, but you could go to the County Offices and ask for this information. I think that there are too many temptations for Public officials and that there should be checks kept on them. They have been caught with their hands in the cookie jar time after time. In general, they cannot be trusted. Right now there is blatant offenses being committed and it is being ignored because no one cares enough to do anything about it. Shalom~Adoniah

I think, they should.. People should know how much their salary is and their other source of income. And that people could calculate where their donations came from...
