What Is The One Thing You Hate Doing?

Right now, I hate doing college reading assignments.
I hate reading about American literature. It's putting me to sleep. I just can't seem to concentrate on it. So, I'm on myLot and it's 8:00 at night and I just know that I'm not going to get through this reading assignment that is due at 8:30 tomorrow morning. I just can't seem to concentrate on it. I hate when that happens. I just keep reading the same passage over and over again, no matter how many breaks I take, the information just doesn't stay in my mind. It will just be a waste of time to struggle to read it for tonight.

I actually don't completely dislike cleaning. Just some types of cleaning. Like mopping. Boy do I hate mopping.

To be honest, I think some people are diagnosed with ADD because they just hate the subjects in school and can't pay attention because it's boring. Not because they can't concentrate in general.

E.S.S.A.Y. LOL..I have been writing so many lately I hate it. So what I have been doing is breaking them up in small sections..Instead of writing one after another, I'll do another assignment or swing by here like you did..:) Then I'll go back. So after you read your replies, go back and read a little more, I'm sure you'll get it done in time..

I usually split up the work too. I didn't think I couldn't read 10 pages tonight though. And I can, I just...if I even look at it, I start zoning out and thinking about other stuff. I think I just need a break from all the work people are throwing at me lately. I mean, I work until 6 PM and then I have to do about 30 pages of work each night. And I'm in a club where I'm the public relations representative so I have a bunch of posters I need to make. I mean, I'm usually okay at balancing, but I think I need a break. I don't even have breaks over the weekend!
So, the only thing I can think of is luckily I only have one class tomorrow which runs until 10 AM. So, after that class, I'll read the rest of the assignment, work on a poster and read the other reading assignment that is due Friday before I go to work at 3. I'm thinking I might only get this reading assignment done and the poster and have to read the other assignment tomorrow night.

Well sounds like you have a plan. Just make room for "me" time in there somewhere or you'll burn out...

hi stephaieAnnC oh yes college reading assignments can be boring indeed. but I always lucked out as I loved to read.What i hated in college was history while others thought it was so great.the one thing I used to hat and had to do was t he blasted dishes., I could do any other chore but the dishes seemed to me to be an unending task. I used to make up stories as I washed the dishes and thus got my writing assignment
all thought out. I also hated making doctors appointments and still do but at least that is something I do not have to do too often.
I am now retired and have nothing to do but mylot and surf the
web.

oh yes and giving a speech in front of a bunch of people. I just freeze and my mind goes blank and I feel my hands start to sweat.

I've gotten better at giving speeches, but I'm still not great. I still become a nervous pile of mush.
History isn't my favorite either. It's entirely boring to read. Especially certain parts. And I hate mopping the most.

I don't like HAVING to read anything. I hate cleaning the toilets. It is the least favorite thing to do for me. Also cleaning up puke. That is never fun. On a daily basis? Hmmm. Getting up sometimes is hateful for me. Depends. Fixing a dinner that I love and know is healthy and then having everyone look down their noses at it and not eat it.

I actually don't really hate cleaning the toilets that much. I don't like mopping or vacuuming more.

I know this feeling, of having something due in a short deadline and yet we have no mood to proceeed with it. What I would do is take a break or even a nap, relax and then come back to it in a while. Another way would be, you resolved to get it done as soon as possible. Put all your energy and concentration on it, get it done and over with!
What I hate doing everyday would be the travelling on the trains to get to work everyday. It is so crowded and we have to bump shoulders with someone, or someone else's bag is poking into you, I hate that kind of feeling.

Personally one of the things I hate doing anymore is going to work. The place I work at many times can be quite stressful and I am sure playing a Big part in the way I feel each day as well. I hurt more when I am there, and since it is so filthy always Hate worrying about having to keep all my wound areas so protected as well. This is one of the reasons in time I will be Glad when I can leave there.

I'm done with studies and I will not ever, ever go back to studies. It is really hard to be a student especially if you are a serious student. Well now that I have job and earning and already a mother there are some chores in the house that I really don't enjoy doing. It is not that I hate doing but rather bored doing like hanging clothes on the clothesline after washing them and folding clothes after they've dried up. I don't know, I find those tasks boring and would rather delegate them to another person in the house.

At school I used to hate sitting on those chairs because they were so hard and uncomfortable. The chairs made it tough to concentrate because I was to busy thinking about my butt hurting.

One trick I taught myself back in the day when I had to get through un-interesting reading assignments was to watch TV as I read. And then I would peg points in the assignment with whatever is going on the show that I was watching.
It didn't work all the time though.
Nowadays, I hate grocery shopping! I think my hatred stems from the fact that I have to spend money, and I can't seem to stick to a budget. And I think I am getting bald already from ripping my hair out.

i have taken a subject named accounting theory. there is not much calculation on this subject but it requires lots of reading on accounting journal. when i mean 'a lot', it is really huge number of pages i have to go through. every week we are given three or four journal to answer some questions or summarize the journals. i hate to read when i being force to read 70 to 80 pages of accounting theory every time. there is not much thing i can do, the lecturer always say that if we want to get high score we just have to read a lot.

I hate go shopping and I hate gossiping behind somebody's back. I just can't go to shopping with my girlfriend, because it is too boring. And she definitely hating me to be honest with her like that. She loves to shop, while I hate it the most.

I must agree that I hate shopping when other people are present. I feel like such a burden because I like to shop and take forever. I also hate when people gossip about other people. I find it rude. Sure, you can dislike someone, but don't start telling people about it or what you say them do.

I dislike doing the dishes. But the thing I hate the most (as much as I love being on the Internet) is working on these slow computers. Not only are the computers (laptop and PC) old and slow, but I also have dial up. I ate supper a couple of hours ago and I am sleepy. But tonight I'm fighting the sandman and surfing myLot and other sites, and lifting dumbells to keep myself strong. If this computer starts to freeze and act up, then I'll get sleepy again. To keep from tearing my hair out or putting my fist through the monitor, I give up and go watch a DVD movie. I fall asleep which messes up my body time because then I wake up in the middle of the night.
So tonight I have a different strategy.

I feel your pain! It's especially bad when you know whatever you have to do will take a short amount of time, but the computer makes it take twice as long!

I hate doing the laundry. I love cooking a lot. It includes cleaning the whole kitchen and washing all the dishes. Washing clothes make me hate changing clothes! LOL!

I hate doing household chores most especially doing the laundry and washing dishes. Its just all so messy and very tiring. I have to say, I do some excuses to avoid such chores. But when I was in college, I did all these chores. And I overcame it, and I am very happy. I have no one to do it but myself. So I took the courage and do it. And that really made me happy to overcome such things.
