procastination is the thief of time..how far true...?

We all tend to postpone things. But"Procastination is the thief of time" so goes the old saying.Can we do all things at one and the same time.Therefore we have to postpone things to some other time.How can it be bad.There is another saying.."What you have to do tomorrow ..do it to day ...what you have to do to day..do it now.."The all appear to be correct .But how far is it practical in real life. I am unable to understand.These sayings are considered to be sayings of wisdom.Were they fools who said them.That can't be.Is there any middle course.I request my friends in Mylot to enlighten me on these two statements.
