Why can't people walk straight

I have always encounter this situation of people not walking straight. They tend to either sway from left to right or right to left. While I'm walking behind them, it's difficult for me to overtake them at all. I understand if one is carrying heavy things, they will be lose their balance a little. But some people's tendency is acting as if the whole pavement is theirs. It's worst when they are talking on the phone, walking slowly, occupying the whole pavement to themselves. There are couple of times I have to either walk on the road or on the grass patch to overtake them. Have u encounter such people? Do u feel like scolding them?

hi sanitary! yeah, i also encounter people like them, in the mall, in the market anywhere! sometimes it annoys me especially hen i am in hurry, aside from those who don't walk straight, i also hate those who walks very slow as if they are in the park...hehe and i also hate those people in groups that's occupying the whole way as if they own it... but back to those who don't walk straight, i think its really just normal that we don't walk in a straight line like models on the ramp, unless there's something in our both sides that will keep us walking in a straight line, sometimes i am also like them, but i made sure that i am not blocking anyone on my back,

Those people are selfish, ain't they? When i accidentally bump into them, they will stare at me as if it's my fault when they are the ones blocking the whole pavement. I hate it when that happens. From there, i learnt a lesson. Bump them, crave out a path for ourself and don't look back.

Humans are not robot, but it does not mean they can walk in any way they like without sparing a thought for people behind them.

lol =D I have not came across such people though.. hehe ^_^ I dun think i will ever have the chance to see them as i'm a fast walker, really fast.. lol =D I will only be overtaking others ahead of me, but seldom allowing me to ovetake me. IF the person in front is not walking straight, i will use change my direction, overtake them quickly. It's not a problem for me.. haha

U are flexible and agile. Don't u get annoyed by them at all when it happens too often?

maybe because we are not robot. we have left and right leg. if we only have one straight leg probably we could walk straight. but id on think that would be effective

Walk straight as in walking in a straight line, not like how a drunk person driving on the road in a zig zag manner.

Yes, I have definitely met many of these people before. But, before we criticise them, I believe we ourselves do that sometimes too. I guess it's human tendency to walk in a slanted manner. Just take drawing lines for example. It's much simpler drawing a slanted line rather than a straight. Suppose we are talking on the phone, our brain is focusing on talking to the other person, and therefore, we lose focusing on walking straight!

That does not apply to me for sure because I'm always walking straight ahead. I keep my head up, look far front instead. Even there are people like me, but somehow they don't have a sense of direction at all. It's even worse when they are in conversations.

I encounter a lot of these people especially on malls. I am a person who walks fast and I get a little irritated when someone is walking slowly in front of me so what I do is I overtake them. But with these people they are a little unpredictable so I'm a little cautious in overtaking them because I might bump into them accidentally. I just wait for the right opportunity to overtake them or when I'm in a bad mood I say (not directly at them) that someone seems like their walking on the moon. :P

I'm just like u as well. However I'm not scared of bumping into them because they are taking up too much walking space for themselves.
