Do you think we worry too much?

It just seems to me that today's people worry to much about every thing...what we eat...what we don't eat...how to bring up the children and so on...there is so much confusion out there and every one is feeling guilty of one thing or other. We have loads of information about every thing but none the less we are more confused than ever...I see people in supermarkets checking labels and comparing this product or other, and not just that! I see young people trying to loose weight and they are so confuse of what to eat! the supermarkets shelves are full of food and yet people don't know what to eat or what to choose...how sad. I have the privilege to live in a country where food and produce is abundant and yet some people don't know what to eat!I would like to send them to a third world country where what you see is what you get"period" nothing to choose there, either you eat or you starve. I think I went out a little bit on my discussion[ sorry about that] the point was do you think we worry too much? I think we do [ in my opinion any way] I think people should relax, enjoy what they have and be grateful for it.

Behind every successful invention to people who struggle a lot to reach their goals there are lot of worries involve. If you don't worry, its very difficult to survive in this ever changing world. Though worrying much will affect your health, but just stating relax and calm makes you lazy.

We shouldn't really worry too much, or be made to worry too much, as it brings on stress and other health problems. If evrything was done correctly, everything followed the rules, was within limits and that everything was automactically correct, it would save us so much hassle. What I mean, is, becuase not everything is perfect, it has made us worry, more cautious, and paranoid even. Like all the food that is sold out there, is not necessary produced for the good of human beings, but for money, business and profits, for example foods that contain lots of preservatives and additives to make it look tasty and appealing, if there was a law that food producers had to make sure that everything that they produced is healthy then it would save us so much time having to read the labels - but then again, is this really practical? Society tries its best to have some sort of basic structure so that each individual is entitled to the most basic needs, but of course, one policy never fits all, so many different standards, demands and requirements, I know, we should just relax and let things be, but then that would mean just relying on what others have worked hard to achieve for us and at the end of the day, have they really considered every aspect of our needs to produce this policy?. They are not gods, and the decisions they have made are not perfect. Human beings are intelligent beings and so we are always seeking to improve ourselves, to correct the mistakes that others may have caused. It's all down to moving forwards, hoping for the best, and creating a better future for ourselves.... :)

Indeed we should be thankful with the quantity of food. But we have to choose where we eat that are good for consumption and where food is not good for our consumption. Because for some people who suffer from illnesses such as diabetes, they should not be indiscriminate in choosing food. And for some people who chose to diets, they do not want to be overweight because it would endanger its own.

What is the point of worring? we are only here once so why not enjoy it? I believe that our lives are mapped out for us. Why worry over sometrhing that you can't do anything about. Why worry over what you can or can't eat. I don't worry over nothing really, l eat what i want, and l smoke. I've gotten to 61 so far and if l pop my glogs tomorrow then so be it, l'll get to see my family again. My wife on the other hand is a born worrier and no matter what l say she will continue to worry. Spirit

Yeah I think people do worry too much some people worry for nothing and some worry because there lives are filled with uncertainty and woes, now with that said I've seen and been around people who have everything and then some, yet they still worry and complain those sort of worry warts get on my nerves a bit because they really dont have a lot to stress over, so why are they worrying for nothing? they have plenty of importaunt survival items and more. it makes no sense to me why those who seem to have everything worry and take things for granted. But there are also people in the world who have every reason to worry but they still see the light and the end of the tunnel of woes, thats kinda the person I am I'm a worry wart, but not completely without reason because I've faced a lot of ups and downs but I still manage to have hope peaking through my stress and I'm still grateful for the blessings I have but I would be ling if I said I didnt worry a lot. worry is somewhat natural in life its all in how you handle it and how you look at life. I'm not the kind to worry so much that I cant enjoy life like some others.

I have worry too but I learn to divert my attention to other things as I realize their is no use to do a lot of worrying. I also know that if you worry a lot then you could not change a thing or like to have changes but it seem impossible to do like you need to have someone or you need to fix your life. But it just easy to think but it really hard to act on it. I suppose we all need to accept simple things and thinking of the moment rather than thinking of the things which have no control it just result to lot of stress making one look more old when their is no solution then stop worrying less stress makes life more longer.

Hiya ALTD. When I was small I would always hear my Mom worrying about how she was going to pay this that and the other. Also how she was going to make it through the Week. We did not have very much of anything either so there was not many happy times. They had just come out of a War and so they were still living under a lot of restrictions for everything. It´s hard to be happy and grateful in those conditions and your Children hearing that all Day will likely learn the same attitude also. So I am not really surprised some People are the way they are.

I know what you mean my mum was also worried most of the time I think that is why I learnt from an early age that worrying about something you have no control over is quite pointless. I thank you very much for your answer and remember life is for living...enjoy your day!

We are lived in 21st century and now the time of competition so nobody wants to become fail. So all time them doing their efforts and when persons don't get good result of their hard work then it become worried to them. I think I am also worried sometimes when I not find any good things which I really want in my life. So it is very common things now.

I think sometimes it's easier said than done. At least it's the way for me. I tried to be calm but at times, things just get out of expectations and I'll start to worry about the result or consequences. It's like a natural feeling in humans. Tensions rise and we start to worry about all the things that's going to happen. However, I have to agree with you it's not a good thing and we indeed worry too much. Since worrying can't help in anything, there's no point in doing so. Leave the uncertainty to God, and believe everything will be fine. That's what I'm trying to do now! Cheers.

maybe those people are budgeting their money that's why they don't know what to but. i have a friend who takes a long time before she decide what to buy. because she is comparing the price and trying to figure out if she can save if she buy this or that. other people read the nutrition facts to know if it is healthy or not. i think its okay to loose weight so that you can have a healthy and fit body. that's one way of taking care of our body. they don't want to regret in the future for eating everything they see in the supermarket. and yes we should be grateful with what we have because other people are striving hard just to get a little bit of something. if have foods to eat, be thankful for not experiencing starvation. we should also share our blessings to others because with that,we can feel happiness and contentment. :D

Most people who worry can't help but stay worrying for if they didn't worry things will seem to go off track. Now that they worry about something, they forget the other thing to worry about which can either be important or not. The lesson is that, if a person worry about something, he/she should make sure that what's worried about is crucial to their goal. If a person worry about a pet and forget a close human friend, that's not acceptable. Hence, worrying can either be necessary or not and to some degree it is okay to worry very much.

I was an avid worry wart and well I worried so much about everything and finally I am at a point in my life that I must invest more time in being thankful for all my blessings. Although I am still trying to survive I figure that the Lord will continue to provide, as he always has.

Hi! You are so right. People nowadays worry to much. There is just so much things to decide on, that we tent to worry if we choose the right thing. Lol. I think we should all make our lives simple and just choose on what we think is right instead of listening to others. Life is too short so let's enjoy our life and stop worrying too much.

Of course, in our life, se worry about many many things, such as, finance, study, work, family relationship, friendship, social relationship... For me, I always worry about my finance, my study, and my future. I always try my best to make everything becomes simple, but it is so hard for me. I love to have free time to make my life more relaxing, more interesting, and more healthier. I love my current position, but I really want to improve my position to make not only I am happy but also my family does. Have a nice day! My friend, and try to not worry to much! relax and enjoy your life is the best way to have a healthy life.

Life is indeed filled with uncertainties. I am guilty of worrying too much but not really about food. There are times when I tend to be anxious about my future. I mean as a graduating college student, I am anxious if I will be able to get a job immediately right after graduation since the world nowadays has been so competitive. But yes I do agree that life is too short to live it with anxiety. First of all, God will never give us a burden too heavy for us to carry. God already have a wonderful plan for all of us. Despite the difficulties we encountered and we will be facing in the coming days, what matters most is that we always do what is right and make the right decisions to avoid painful regrets in the future. Life is a gift and we must always be thankful for it. Let us enjoy life by spending quality time with our loved ones and keep our faith stronger each day. God bless!
