What are some pros and cons on being opinionated? I think a pro would be that you know where you stand and have principles. A con would mean you're a little difficult and picky. Pro would be you're not easily influenced and are not indecisive. What do you think? How opinionated are you?/?

It entirely depends on the person I'm giving my opinion to. I actually want to be on the same page with that person on some point, regardless of how different our opinions are from each other. There has to be some agreement on some level so as to prevent arguments that are off topic and too personal.

I'm a very opinionated person. I have a lot to say on the things that I know (I really don't give my opinion when I don't know anything about certain topics). Anyhow, I agree with your pro that you have stand and you certainly know what you believe in. For me, being opinionated gives you deeper understanding of the things that you believe in. The more you talk about something, the more you get interested in it, the more you discuss it with others, the more you research about it, the more you learn. And learning is the most important thing in expressing your opinions because it provokes people to share their opinions too and you learn from what they know. My con for being opinionated is you'll get to be misunderstood most of the time. People would think that you're a know it all, and you're talking about things you don't understand, just because what you believe in does not coincide with their beliefs aesthetics. So I think it would be best to couple your being opinionated with courtesy, respect, and ethics. You should always watch out with whatever you're going to say, say it in a nice way, and always think about what you're going to say before you express it. Also respect others' opinions and most importantly, learn from them.
