What does it mean to believe that everything happens for a reason?

Most of us have lots of frustrations in life, some give up and some keep on fighting. I myself am one of the latter. I believe that everything happens for a reason and it is always a good one; that something better is waiting for me. And I am so thankful that there really is always something better in store for me. It's like when God closes the door, He opens a window. But, sometimes I get to think, is it a right way of thinking? Or it will just give you more frustrations in life?.. What do you think?

I believe God gives us certain challenges to test our abilities.Although there are times when we feel that these are hard for us to handle,he never gives up on us, because he knows our limits and capabilities.Though we might not understand the ultimate reason for the things happening to us right now,it is faith that help us embrace this and that a bigger being(GOD) has a certain plan for all of us..to mold us into better individuals.

Very well said my friend..but do you think it is wrong to believe that in every failed dream/task, there is something better in store for you?

I think it is never wrong to aspire more and believe that something good might happen from the bad. What is wrong is giving up everytime defeat is experienced and in that case, nothing better is happening since you've given up on such possibility. And if frustration happens, believe in your guts and the one up above. If he has other plans for you,the in time you would be able to discover them.

all of us born to meet some frustration in life to encourage us to do better than we does... i do agree with you that everything happens for a purpose or reason behind it... but sometimes it is better not to think about that purpose or reason because it only reminds us that we need to do things for a reason even if it's not what we want.,that's the time that frustration enter in your life...but I'm not saying that we must do what we want without thinking, all i want to say is that we must do things not just because for a reason but we need to think our self if we are happy about doing that thing.

God will never directly give / grant something that we requested. When will grant it, previous, God will assess our ability. More patiently we wait, more greater our hope to be granted by God
