I want to share my articles

I have been writing as a hobby for many years. Being an introvert of sorts I find my voice in my writing. I feel pleased when I see my thoughts put down to make an article. My subjects range from the internet, the latest in technology, automobile reviews to business and finance. I am versatile and like to research for learning more and writing well. Of late, I have been thinking of making some money off my writing skills from the internet. I looked at writing sites like AC but then realized that they pay only a meager per-view amount to those staying outside the US. Though I would love to write for an American friend who may be a member of AC or other sites I wanted to take opinions of writers in a forum like this. Please let me know what you think.

Textbroker and Constant Content are wonderful places to write for money. Textbroker is solely at the client's discretion. Constant Content has a more rigorous approval process. Articles may be submitted and offered for sale at the author's discretion or clients may make public or private requests for articles. Submitting a public request article promises no guarantee of client acceptance however. Review Stream is also alright if you don't mind writing opinion heavy "product" reviews, although those reviews can be on just about anything or about anyone. Best of luck! Between Textbroker and Review Stream, I profit about $200-$400 a month depending on the amount of time I put in.

You are doing well then. I have written a bit for textbroker although I don't always like the assignments there. I have not heard of review stream before. Do you spend more time with one site than the other?

I'm not a fan of most of the Textbroker topics either... Often times, they are so nich or geographically specific that it can be difficult to write about those things, even if you researched them, unless you have or have had first hand experience with them. I probably spend more time on Textbroker, because it's almost a guarantee that if I follow instructions closely that the articles will be accepted and I will be paid. Review Stream is not guaranteed. Sometimes it takes 4-8 days before they can review something, sometimes they reject stuff right away. Sometimes they reject stuff and if you change just a few words (I once had something rejected and when I revised it I only changed 4 words) you might make $2.50 for it. Finding sites that allow you to share your works while maintaining the rights to the matters is best. You can make blogs or websites that backlink to each other and join link exchanges. Those will help promote your site. Also, Myspace, Faceboo, Twitter, Stumble Upon, Digg.. They are all excellent tools for self promotion. I went from bringing in about 100 hits a month to 1,000 in a week just by using social networking/media/bookmarking sites. Good luck!!

Correct me if I'm wrong but textbroker is limited to US citizens right? The TS is outside US!

Last I heard Associated Content was only paying select writers from outside of the US those that already had a strong following there, so that might not be the best place for you. I would recommend another site for you that I know is international. The pay is based on hits and earning is slow at first but over time and the more articles that you write the better it gets. I am going to send you a friend request so you can PM me and I will give you the the name of the site and answer any questions you have about it.

I actually spent quite a bit of time sitting on the fence about writing. I've been a person that loves to write since I was a young girl, but I just never had the courage to do it. However, exactly one month ago today I wrote my first article on Helium. Now, their pay per view is very low and I've only made a couple of dollars in a month off of that, but they have several other ways to earn as well. The have upfront payments and empty title bonuses, contests and a marketplace. Let me know if you are interested and I'd be happy to send you more information.

Hi dorannmwin - Congrats on writing your first article on Helium! You are right about the low payout there, which is why I am having thoughts about exploring options to make better use of my articles. Payment per word seems to be much better than per view. Most sites that pay an upfront payment seem to do so only for US residents. Being outside the US I get only the per view payout :-(. Yes, please do send me additional information as a message. Thanks in advance!

"Though I would love to write for an American friend who may be a member of AC or other sites" You're thinking of ghost writing?

A very good hobby. If you are talented and want to seriously develop your hobby as well get the money, why do not all make the book? Is not if you are interested in a book many people will be more to produce, and you can sell your book on Amazon.

If you also like writing reviews on a variety of topics, then you might want to take a look at "Review Stream" too. You can write brief reviews on things you see in the day to day activities, e.g. shopping, restaurants, travel, hotels, websites, movies, etc.

hey emvy, if you are a good writer then i would prefer you to make writings in bukisa and triond which will give you enough income from the writings you have made from it. but you have to aware of the best category of writings before you write something for the triond. because triond gives view money for the interesting or the most valued categories in the section. so beware of it and then do something great that could drew the readers.

I find Helium very good and they have always been prompt with their payments

Hi Emvy, I would suggest that you write for Bukisa, they pay you more than AC. Triond is also a very good option. The best thing about the above two sites is that they are open to all ans there are no country restrictions. Best of luck. I will wait for you at Bukisa.

Hi GoldenAsh - I used to write for Bukisa but I have problems accessing the site now. AC pays an upfront fee for articles which is only for US writers and not for those outside the US.

Take me in your wings should you succeed. I am also good at sharing ideas, solving problems together, making friends is also my priority. I reason better when I put down in writing; travelling is one of my major interests. One of your interests is making money on the internet. Take me in your wings should you succeed but before then, we make friends through sharing articles. The idea about sharing articles is good for through sharing articles friends are made internationally, nationally and locally. It strengthens good relationship between individuals and nations. If you are looking at that type of sites, you might want to take a look at Helium. Though they have the same shortcomings (low pay per view) that plagues AC and the others, they also offer contests where you can compete for cash (1st place up to $60) and a Marketplace where you can compete to sell your work off-site. I have been paid as little as $12 and as much as $60 for articles that I have sold from Helium's Marketplace. They also have the option for people to purchase a one-time use of your work. I've sold the use of several articles from my portfolio months after posting them for $5 - it's not much, but it all adds up. My first year with Helium, I made about $700. Not bad for sitting at home in front of the computer and working around my own schedule. When you're ready to jump into freelancing a bit more seriously, you might want to check out sites like ScriptLance, ifeelance and Elance. I have gotten work on all these sites and the clients you end up working for pay WAY more than you will make doing the pennies per read thing at places like AC and Helium. NOTE: I still go write on Helium when I need a break from "serious jobs" or when they post a contest category that looks interesting. Good luck with your writing!

Hi sherrysk8s - Seems like you are making a good income from article-writing! It is interesting to know about contests and the Helium marketplace and yes indeed, it all adds up in the end. I looked at the freelancing sites but it seems you have to try hard bidding for writing articles and then build a reputation so that you get preferred over others. Another thought that I had is to write a bunch of articles with good keywords and try and sell them on Namepros or Digitalpoint. If you write on topics that are in demand I have observed that you can easily sell such articles at one cent per word.
