How many zero discussions do you have?

Philippines
October 7, 2010 10:25am CST
In my case, I have two zero discussions that doesn't have any comments. I wanted to delete them but I'm worried my earning might get deducted from deleting them so I'm not asking the admin to delete it yet. My two discussions, well, I thought about them before posting but i think they are not very interesting to talk about.

Me, I have 2, so far. Yet, I really don't feel bad about it. If nobody could relate to my question or topic, I just have to brush it off that perhaps the topic is not really a popular one or does not hit the market of myLot. For instance: I admit I'm almost 40 years old, thus my tastes, my experiences, my interests may not be appealing to the younger age group. Nobody is coerced to give an answer in myLot. So I really don't make a big deal out of it.

Right. They cannot relate with the topic I'm talking about on my discussions. I have to search for things I'm interested with before posting i think.

yeah, when i make new discussions i get posts after 10-24hours. Maybe I have to re-write the zero discussions I have.

At the same time, there are so many discussion topics, users, and new discussion posts coming on here each day, even if you kept with posting on a popular subject, and not just the unusual ones,it can take a long time getting arond them all,and some just end up there on the shelf..it doesn't mean your discussion wasn't worthwhile,it just didn't draw the attention that another one did!

I have several that have gone unresponded to, some really old ones too. You don't earn anything if the discussions remain without a response, so it's wise to find someone to respond to them. You can't resolve the discussion if no one responds to them, and that's the problem I'm having, I've been trying to shorten my many pages of unresolved discussions, but it gets really hard.

I think we really have to search more interesting topics that people here should surely love. I don't want my discussions to get zero responses but I can;t do anything if my discussions are not that interesting.

I guess I am one of the lucky ones because I don't have any discussion that I started that no one responded to. lol. The minimum amount of responses I got is one and the most number of responses I got is 40. Anyway, I take back about me being lucky with regards to zero discussions with no responses because I am more of a responder than a discussion starter anyway.

I have a lot of discussions and I don't really respond to new discussions everyday. I want to monitor my discussions, but some of my posted discussions are not being read by people. I need to learn more a lot.

I hope my discussions will be responded by the people soon, I'm happy for you that you have a lot of discussions with good responses.

I honestly don't recall one. I've had a couple where there's only been one or an handful of responses, I generally don't mind if people over-look my discussions. Once upon a time I always got around 50-90 but those days are long gone. I welcome any responses :) As for deleted I can only recall one, when a user decided to go and attack pretty everyone who responded.

Good for you but people doing funny stuff on our discussions? Well, I don't like that to happen to me in the future, I don't want my discussions get deleted because of them.

I have a whole bunch of discussions I started that got no responses..(YET!)I'm nearly scared to go looking to see how many are still down there! I didn't think it was possible to delete a discussion on here (apart from the Admins deleting one for non-compliance of the rules-hasn't happened yet,so they're still viable, though some of them I'd started on finding a link to a site or video clip..there's no referral links on any of my discussions..)-Though I haven't had responses on them,I'm still willing to wait for someone to go into the vault and check them out,as there are discussions that have been circling the site for years now..

I think somebody will post on your discussions soon, some people here are dedicating their time to respond to discussions with zero comments.

I don't really know if we can request zero discussions to be deleted. I am not aware if there is such a feature. As for me, I think I have about one or two zero discussions which I posted when I was still a newbie here and I am really not paying so much attention on them now although I hope someone will come across and would comment on them. Now if zero discussions could really be deleted then it is but fair to be deducted of earnings because you got paid from them already. So better just leave those zero discussions hanging and let someone stumble on it and make some remarks.

but do you think the admin should also allow us to manage our posts?

Oh, yeah. I think that's the reason why they did not add that feature. It's also for our earnings safety.

I think they should also add that feature. Like in other forum sites, you can always delete or correct your old posts. However, let us bear in mind that every post deleted would mean corresponding deduction from our account also.

I had quite a few of them. Probably becoz most of these discussions were on 'my' zone of knowledge, that is, Financial Planning. I figured out that the discussions probably generate debates only if it touches a subject matter which everyone knows a bit about. I actually was trying to encourage people to open up a bit and in the interactive discussion (which I expected to happen), learn more. But, Sadly... ...

well, I don't remember how many zero discussions I have. I think, waiting for someone to join me in my discussions are quite good, it help me to be more patient even in writing. In your case, well, you're into financial planning. One good discussions but not a lot of people here are into it. It's a good thing to encourage other people to be more open. I myself is not that open to other people though....

I have no any zero discussion now. But when I have any zero discussion then I always give my discussion links to my one friend who always gives response to my discussions. So it is a good way for me to get responding for my all zero discussions.

Good for you. I have a lot of friends here where they are all notified with my discussions but maybe they also answer or they are writing new discussions that they can't respond to my new discussions.

I have not so far got any zero response from fellow mylotters. But I must admit that my discussions are yet to enjoy vast responses from other members of mylot.com. I do not know the actual reason behind it. It may be that the selection of topics is not attractive or interesting and so they failed to draw the desired traffic I expected.

I don't have any discussion that have exactly zero responses but I do have one that have only one response so far and it has been a few days since I posted it I guess I'm too serious when I'm posting something, or maybe no one really is interested with my post and they maybe don't know what to say. That is why I don't make many post. I prefer to participate to other people's discussion and response all the time because I'm still making quite a lot on mylot just by doing that. I do have many ideas for new post but I'm always afraid if it's not going to interest anyone.

But when I look for discussions that interests me, it take me me a lot of time and I can only make 5-7 posts a day with that. but when I have my own discussions and people are commenting on my posts, I can make 10-15 posts a day.

Since I was started, I had 2 zero discussions. And I am thankful because the rest has a responds. What I recommend to you is to let your zero respond discussion there. Don't delete it, because time will come, it will have respond too. Be patient in everything. Focus yourself carefully!

Right, i think about that too. Somebody might as well posts on my discussions with zero responses. I think I just have to be very patient.

I have one unresponded discution right now, and a few with as little as 1 or 2 responses only. Although I don't start as many of them, some got many responses, around 20-30. I know, I'm not too good posting on forums, and I don't surprises me having low trafic on my posts. But I never even thinked of delete them. Why should we delete those no-responses topics? They do no bad to us, and who knows, maybe some day someone might answer them.
