I need a bigger bed.

I'm married, but this doesn't belong in the relationship section because it's not about my relationship with my husband. This is about needing a bigger bed, just because of what happens when I go to bed. My husband goes to bed before I do normally, and he always hogs the blanket and the bed. When he hogs the bed, I barely have a place to lie down, and we have a double bed. When I go to bed, the cat follows me, and there's no room for him and myself when I can barely even get into bed. I mean, what am I supposed to do? Try to shove him over so I can go to sleep? It's bad enough that I need my own blanket and we have a king size blanket. How can he hog all of this blanket? We can fit a bigger bed in our room, but the cost would be far greater than we could afford, and I'm not willing to do this yet. Any suggestions?

You should better try to buy an extra blanket and lie diagonally. In my house we have no place for a bigger bed. So my husband sleep on floor and I am sleeping on bed. And you know initially the size was not a problem but not it is a problem. And we solved it this way. If you can arrange a good quality mattress and two blanket, one for cover the floor and another one for your cover, you problem can be solved.

Hi Kris How is it that you have a double bed but a kings size blanket? lol My husband I have a kings size bed because he is 6ft4" but like your husband he does hog the blankets every morning they are almost off the bed because he is so much taller than me and the covers are wrapped up with him on some mornings You can lay a different way but eventually your going to need a bigger bed maybe a second hand one on one that on sale it may not be top of the line but something that will do a good bed maybe not a great bed so that its easier for you to afford

i need another bed period. mine is too firm and has too many springs poking upwards in it(very uncomfortable). that's one of the next things on my list is to get a new mattress.

My husband and I also have a full bed. We were for awhile sleeping on different schedules and so he would wake me up and I'd be in the middle of the bed or on his side with both pillows. Now normally I don't use the blanket, I toss it off of me but it just gets crumpled between us becuase he won't use it unless it's really cold or unless it just goes over to his side. I am not really sure what to suggest but I can tell you what my husband does. He gets in from work early in the morning but let's me sleep a little later. Sometimes he'll go to bed soon after he gets home or right before he usually wakes me up. I have both pillows and am in the middle or like I said on his side of the bed. Usually he just pokes, or pats me until I wake up and move over. Usually I wake up soon after he says something, but then there's the getting me to get on my own side of the bed dilemma. Usually he just gets in behind me and I scoot over. I suppose this really won't help you any, but I thought I'd share, if you poke and pat him he may move over.

Your house sounds like mine, only I have three cats, two of which want to sleep with me all night. It's probably not super helpful, but I did hear that "Mattress Firm" is doing a sale this weekend only- $400 off a mattress and 0% financing until 2014. I'm thinking about going and checking it out myself!
