Just saw a video of Johnny Depp as Capt. Jack Sparrow. He visited a 9 year old fan who wrote him a letter asking advice on how to stage a mutiny. How nice of him. Its cool that an actor his caliber inspires almost everyone even kids.

It's not the first time he's done something like that. He dressed up as Jack Sparrow and read stories to children in a Hospital a couple of years ago. There was no publicity and the press only found out about it weeks after it happened. That really impressed me because he obviously only did it to make the kids happy and not to get publicity for himself.

It is rare that a character is love by both kids and adult. He really must be a nice guy to appeal both to children and adult viewers. Its quite interesting that a pirate can be loved by kids. And to think Captain jack Sparrow always looks drunk.

I think that was really cool of him. Can you imagine how those kids must have felt. They were probably on cloud 9 especially the little girl who wrote the letter, this is something those kids are not likely to forget about. That must have been very, very cool, and the fact that he did that was even cooler. It certainly helps me respect him more as a human being.
