I am feeling scary today, I live with two other people and both of them are going to have surgury in then next 2 months, these are no big things but their recovery times will be about 6 months each. That leaves the ranch in my lap and I know there will be some help but I don't know how I will cope with it all. Stand by for rants from me on mylot. And thanks ahead of time for all your help.

No problem! Rant all you want. Don't carry the load by yourself. You have many friends here that will be willing to give you a listening ear and support you at this time. The only problem is that most of us live very far away so we can't come and give you a hand. Hopefully you have some closer friends that can help out if you need it. All the best!

You are welcome to rant as much as you like pat! It’s tough when everything becomes your responsibility and there is only one of you! I hope you will be able to manage and that there is someone who can help you if it gets too much. Either way feel free to rant as much as you need as often as you want! All the best to you and the patients.

Well, all is not lost! Both your patients will not be in critical care at the same time. While one is recovering the other will be able to do some things around the house. Best to take it day by day, and don't get all worried and down. Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither was your ranch!Come on Pat, you can do it!

We are trying to give as much time as possble for healing to each. I just have to have calm and clear thinking to get them both back to health. Each of these persons is not the best at calm and clear thinking, they have to much expectation
of themselves.

I feel for you as many of my relatives/friends have gone in for surgery but whatever the outcome is remember it happens for a purpose of which you won't be able to see until you think it over! As a wise bard once said... "God's way of staying anonymous is through coincidences!" And it's true!

hi savypat yes I can see it would be scary with two people both
having surgeery , major surgery at that.Let those who work
on the ranch do their jobs and find someone to help you
in your own work. you will cope fine just trust in your
self.

You have every right to be frustrated during the recovery time that is following for the people that you live with. Because, in addition to taking care of the ranch you are also going to have to take care of the other two people. I know that when my mother was recovering from her knee surgery just over four years ago it was very frustrating for me because I had to do more and help her out as well. We will definitely be here for you to vent with.
