I had to attend a computer class offered by one of the computer schools here in town. My company required me to attend the class. It was indeed very helpful and a good start. Having no experience at all for working on a computer, the lesson was really so exciting. It gave an excellent base for continuing on with my job too. How did you get started ? Did you also attend a computer class to get started ?

We had to take a typing class in my middle school when I was younger. That is where i learned how to type. But chatting online has helped me become quicker at typing.

i did not, i just walk my way into it. reading and looking is a way to do it. i though my wife to surf around and now she knows most of it than me. i learned also to edit videos and that i learned with reading not enrolling for a class. it was fun and more challenging once you get it through reading only. it was fulfilling as well. i still dont know much about computer but i am still at the learning process.

No, I learned on my own. I bought some books and was able to learn on my own. Back then it was Win 95 that I learned inside out and backwards. I am glad I did because no matter how much they change windows so far the basic programming is still there. I went to college for some networking classes and it was not that hard, the hard part was getting hired at my age, which didn't happen. I did learn many things though about the how we are connected as networks around the world.

When I was in high school we had Computer as a subject. That was still DOS-based though so I only learned a few things from that class. What really helped me was when my parents bought us a computer. I learned through practice.

Hi greenline: Learned computer way back in the 80's when my first cousin 25 kms away bought a 486. We used to boot it up with DOS 2.0 floppy disks then, insert another floppy to start apps, play LHX Attack Helicopter, type weird articles, and just go bonkers on this 'new technology'. I eventually assembled/owned a vintage 2.4MHz, 40Gb, 512RAM that is still my workhorse at home for the past six years. Last year, out of job and out on a lark, I attended a programming course as a state scholar and eventually landed a job right on my hometown as a computer operator/encoder/service tech. Times have changed really. From a blinking cursor in monochrome display to lightning speed color GUI's, that computer class boosted my technical capability a little bit. I can't say I'm an expert in this field, however. The whole computer industry is a vast area and I have to keep up with emerging trends. Maybe another class may come in handy or shall I say, I may take a peek at that Java Programming Course just downloaded from the net.

When I was a child, I was introduced to an Apple computer by playing learning games. When I was in high school, I had to learn how to type in a typewriting class. I was later introduced to the Internet during my junior year in college. From then on, I have moderate experience in learning how to use computers. Not only I learned how to type on a computer, but to operate on the system maintenance and network administration of a computer. I used to have a day on contract for computer engineering, but it did not last long. I am now online most of the time reading emails and taking survey panels.

no I did not attend a computer class . I just taught my self in learning by reading, looking around as others was doing and asking friends and going to websites on learning more. I learned by just doing and following instructions myself. I learn daily as I find interest in ..

I never attended any computer class to learn about computers, except one which I had joined to learn tally recently but left in between as I din't understand anything they taught :D. We had been taught the basics of computer in schools at a subject but that was when we were too small and by no chance was it possible to remember anything now. I got my first computer 5 years back, when I was 19 I think. So I had to learn everything on my own, still I am nowhere near having a good command but can operate the computer fairly well. I would definitely like to learn more and have a better command over things like graphics, excel, Visual basics, HTML to name a few. It is always a pleasure to learn new things on computer as we can make a very extensive use of it in everything from games to business. I hope I will learn these things soon ;).

Back in the day, I took Computer classes way before Windows was even a thought in anyone's mind. And then when Windows 95 came out, I even taught Intro to Windows to Low income people. Learning all you can is a Good thing and will eventually help you in so many other ways as well.

I took computer courses at a local technical college in 1991. It was because I was looking for a job at the time and I knew everything was going to the computer. I thought I better learn something about the computer if I wanted a job. This was way before the internet, though. I guess you would say I learned about the internet on my own pretty much. I used to use the computers at the library for one thing.

Well an educated person who does not know computers these days Is almost an Illetrate these days of Modern technology.so It is good that you have joined Computer classes. I started learning computers 10 years ago, when one of my friend introduced me to internet. After that my interest has grown in it.I learned then basic knowledge of computers afterwards. Now I can say that I am a computer savvy. have a Nice day

I have attended to some when I was a child. In the primary school there was a subject on computers so I must go to class every week, but also I went to a particular class. It was a very good way to learn it in a time that I knew nothing about computers. And by that time, there was no newbie-oriented Windows like today (I was born in the DOS era, Windows 95 didn't existed at the time) and it was very hard to manage it. Those tips I learned these days are useful even to today.

I didnt attend computer class for learning how to use the computer. I think for for studying basic things attending computer class is not necessary. We can learn it our self. I attended computer class for studying some software courses. In this case attending a course is good as we will get a certificate. Also this can be used in future when looking for job.
