Teachers are admired and respected in all parts of the world because of their contribution to society and their influence and dedication to children and adults alike. With their ability to shape and mold a child’s future, it is no wonder that they are admired and celebrated on a day set aside just for them. Many countries celebrate Teacher’s Day in different ways, but all pay tribute and honor the ones who have dedicated their lives to education and teaching. So how was Teacher's Day (5th of October) celebrated in your country?

In Indonesia, many governmental institutions were giving donations to many schools and educational foundations, especially to smart teachers who were creative enough to build special teaching materials or methods. It looked great to me especially because this country is starting to see great respect on teachers (formerly it was difficult to do such thing).

Hello, welcome friend I have taught in colleges and universities for over 44 years, now retired, in colleges we arrange meetings, the students usually honor the professors by touching the feet, give small gifts, there are debate competitions, dress competitions etc etc.. In schools there is distribution of sweets, music, song competitions to mention some.. Thanks for sharing. Cheers. Professor. .
