a strange story that happened

As we were out driving yesterday we passed a spot in the road that reminded me of a very strange thing that happpened there about 20 years ago. It was a Friday afternoon and the traffic was heavy, people had just gotten off of work. We were in our truck behind a large tractor trailer, you know, one of those hugh trucks you can't see around. Well we had just speeded up to about 45 miles an hour when I noticed the passenger door of the truck opened and right in front of my face a man leaped from the truck, he hit the edge of the road and kept on rolling until I couldn't see him any more. Well I screamed at Hubby to stop, a man just fell out of the truck ahead. That truck had started to slow and we stopped as soon as we could. Others behind us muct have seen the man fall because soon many cars were stopped and people were running toward the man. We had no medical training so we stayed in our truck. About half an hour later the police came with the rescue
people and we just stayed to give our statement. All in all we were there about an hour and then went on our way. Both felt really strange about this. Later we read in the paper that this man was a hitchhiker and he had been reading his bible as they were traveling, he didn't say anything to the truck driver just suddenly opened the door and bailed out. We were never contacted and the paper said the guy recovered. We did not live here at that time and were traveling through to our home 1200 miles away. During the rest of the trip we made up stories as to what could have happened and it did entertained us for the rest of the trip. Both of us felt like we had been watching a movie or tv show, it was so unreal. Has anything like this ever happened to you?

The closest thing to something like that which I've ever experienced in my life was two years ago when my mother and I were going to a concert in Cincinnati. There was this kid on a motorcycle that was moving significantly faster than the speed limit. I had no more than said that I hoped he got to the place that he was going safely that he clipped the back of another vehicle and flew off of the bike. I slammed on my breaks and ran toward him and checked to make sure that he was alive. I had to give a report on the spot and then later that night I had to go to the police department in that city and give a more formal report because the kid's injuries were worse than originally thought.

That is one weird story!!
No I never had anything like this happened to me before. I dont even look when theres an accident on the highway and people stop and have to look......I dont!!
Here in Canada, we HAVE to help if someone needs medical help. I would help but I dont think id know what to do. But to be there for the person at least.

Hi, savy. That is a strange story. If I were in your place, I think I would be really scared to check if the man is okay. But since there are a lot of people behind you - it would make me brave enough to stop the car and find out what had just happened.
It made me wonder if the guy who leaped out of the truck has a problem with his mind. If he's a little twisted it or not because no man would ever do that no unless he's being threatened.
But I am happy to know that you are safe. I think this story shows how kind you are and is very helpful to others.

It was a miracle that he survived. It reminded me of an incident where my daughter was traveling in a car driven by my neighbor. It was a sunday morning and my daughter asked me permission to follow my neighbor to Sunday mass so we let her go since she was going for the sunday school with my neighbor's daughter. After the sunday class my neighbor brought my daughter together with her daughter for breakfast. My daughter told me that she was reading through a caption in the bible while my neighbor's daughter was humming on the church hymns when suddenly the car gave a loud bang. It crashed on to car in front. Within minutes the road was flooded with curious onlookers and the public helped to bring my neighbor's daughter and my daughter to the hospital. Both my neighbor and his wife were killed instantly. The car was in total wreck. Looking at the impact of the damaged on the car, one could not believe that they were survivors. It was a real miracle that my daughter and her friend, now orphaned survived.

No I can’t say that I have ever experienced anything like that! That is certainly not something you would expect to see while driving along the road! I once saw a guy on the roof of a building in the city threating to jump off; luckily the police talked him down. There are people doing crazy things sometimes; it’s fortunate if no one is killed.

I fell out of the car when I was a baby. But I've never seen anybody else take a dive out of a car or truck except in a movie!

Wow, that is weird and scary!!! I haven't experienced anything like that (yet, gulps!) I would be so traumatized if that happens. The scariest thing that happened to me on the road was when i was driving on the freeway and suddenly a box was right in front of me so in panic I ended up swerving the car and drove straight across the whole freeway and landed on the other side. It was so terrifying!

Wow! What a story! No wonder why you felt really strange about what happened.
I haven't witness such thing. The worse thing that I witnessed was a car accident.
There were two ladies on the pedestrian crossing when a high speed car hit them. I was on the sidewalk, I was going to cross the road on the same pedestrian crossing, but fortunately I had few more steps to the road when the accident happened. I still have in mind the terrible image of those ladies feet flying through the air like some puppets. 
Both ladies were thrown through the air a few feet away.
They were badly hurt, but they survive.
I couldn't drive my car for few months because of the fear I felt that day.

Ya i agreed to that story of yours but mine is very much scary.
When i was small i use to visit my uncle place without knowing my parents, i use to go in a day sometimes at evening.One day i was feeling bored it was night time and i think clock was ticking 12:00. My uncle lives a distance of 10 min ahead of my house.
I was bored anyway sleeping that day so i thought to visit my uncle again so i started moving on road. Its was very dark and very much quite lonely area no one on road empty road no vehicle nothing. I moved ahead because of the straight road. Then i reached uncles place, but uncle was not there ,the door was locked so i made a decision that to return home and i walked back. The road was dark it was so dark that i couldn't see my hands and my body. i was walking ahead and i just looked back the uncles house was disappeared, i got scared i was like which we to go. i just sat on the road thinking that morning will be soon and darkness will go....... but suddenly a dog came from nowhere he just pulled my boot to show direction so i started walking where he was pulling i just walked 7 steps ahead and my house was in front..... i just looked back the dog got disappeared.......... Than thing came in my mind i have just covered a 10 min distance my stepping 7 steps from my uncles home..... I got very scared at that time but the i thought the dog was not a dog it was an angel who just brought me somehow.......... its still a mystery how did this happened. I just covered a distance of 10 min in 7 steps just imagine.
