Hello everyone. Okay, this is what i want to know. Phone numbers can sometimes be a good thing to give to others or it can just be a pain the butt. As most of us know, your immediate family have to have your number for emergencies, right? Okay, then now we move on a bit. You will give your number to relatives who live a bit far, very far or in another country, i think. And some friends if you feel like it. Now for the grand finale!!!! Why do you give your number and take another's number if you are not family, but you make others believe that you are? I know people have a lot of cousins, for some reason or the other. How many people, {family, friends and whatnot} have your personal number? Mine-4 TATA.

I lol'ed at this "Do u live in the Aritc?" I for one does not know what cold call means until you told us so. I would take that term as an idiom and not literally I seldom receive cold calls but yeah it pisses me off when some company manages to get my number and call me all of a sudden

Hi saphrina. How r u doing today. Actually, I have only one cell phone, and all of my friends have my phone number, and my family have my phone number as well. I cant count how many people have my number, but I think there are too many people have my number. Its weird? I dont think so. Its normal. I knoe somebody might has 2 cell phones, one is for business, and another one is for family or freinds, personal cell phone, I know that, but I am not. So all of people around me they all have my number. Have a nive day. haha

Every family member I always know and update my phone number, sometimes I just contacted them to say "hello, how are you". For me it would not hurt other people know (not just the family) as long as it can be accountable later. If there are phone numbers that have not been to save or not famous at my phone screen, I always ask "sorry, Which who i speak?" via short messages. If people are interested reply means the person we need. Maybe we forgot to save before. I do not have to worry about confidential caller, to me they are just fans of my secrets. What about you?

You know I ask myself that same exact question, I don't like giving out my personal mobile number. The only people that have my number are my immediate family, maybe one or two close friends of mine and my supervisors at work. I try to avoid people getting my personal number, I see it this way, my phone is for emergency usage, once in a while I may find a friend that I haven't spoken to in a while and I may ask for her number, but I know that person isn't going to be calling me often so I personally don't mind, but I can't stand having people calling me at all hours of the day.

My dad is one of 16 kids (two deceased). So they have a huge family. My Aunt Lana decided to make a family phone book. So she got the address and phone number of every aunt, uncle, cousin, step child, and all the other people in our family. She then typed them up in a file, and e-mailed them to every family member (she also included our e-mail addresses). So if any of my relatives want to get ahold of me, they can. On my mom's side, the family is smaller. My grandma knows my number, and if any other family members on my mom's side wants it, they'll call my grandma. My mom only has one brother, so it's a small family.

All of my friends and family have my phone number. All of my clients have my phone number as well. Even though so many people have my number, I don't get a lot of phone calls. Most people only call me if there's an emergency.

Probably about 20 or 30 people know my phone number, but that's it. I just recently gave out my cell # to my cousin who lives in another state, who I haven't talked to in forever. Mainly because I wanted to keep in touch. I don't give out my phone number to just anyone..Especially people who I don't know as well and especially guys - they can abuse the privledge. LOL.

Many people have access to my personal number I guess I just have too many friends They have my number but I only have a few personal numbers to access besides from my immediate family for I'm pretty lazy saving their numbers. I'm not a text fanatic and I seldom use my phone I guess its common to exchange numbers but I don't give my personal number to just anyone. I only exchange numbers with people I know(doesn't matter if they are my friends, relatives or whatnot)

Hello saph, Actually my cousins and all do not really have my number until recently when they started to have their own families and wanted to invite us to their "wedding parties birthday parties, house-warming parties, whatever". These occasions are quite rare and far between, so I only got sms invitations from them once in a while, it doesn't really bother me.

Hmmm... I only give my mobile number to very close people in my heart. And they all know that if someone ask for my number, they should ask permission from me too because tendency is that once someone gets my phone number, it can be avoided that they would play trick on me like they've known me for a long time blah blah blah and that would really pissed me off. Then I would change my number and the circle of people gets fewer. LOL. Call me paranoid but I am just being cautious. I also want peace. That's why I don't give easily my number even to a relative unless they need or ask something important.

Hi saphy, Many people have my phone number but nobody calls me (lol). The reason is, either my mobile is out of range (there is no net work inside my office) or I may not pick it if I am at home (at home I just keep the same in my bag and rarely listening the ringing tone). Land phone is there so I am not worrying much about my mobile phone. Normally we are (from both of us home) getting calls on my hubby's mobile. I am getting wrong numbers more than useful calls.

Hi saphrina, yes all my family members, relatives and also friends know my personal cell / phone nos. This is for all purposes not only for emergencies but also for talking, to know about them how they are. Because we may not go and meet them all the time so phone is the only source to interact with them.

My whole family has my phone number, and that's a total of 4 people. My high school friends, college friends, friends of friends and acquaintances have it, too. It's not a big deal if quite a number of people have your number. Giving your number to anyone who asks makes it a big deal, though.
