Finally! I am officially published! As of Monday, my first book, a poetry anthology consisting of 20 years worth of my work, is not on the market, and I am unbelievably happy! It was so much easier than I thought it would be, and I'm so glad I finally got to this. Now I'm working on putting together an anthology of all my short stories. Of course I'm squeezing this in to the breaks I'm taking while working on my novel, so it'll be a while, but I'm very excited about it. So.. anyone want to share their publishing stories, ideas, traumas, etc? What was the first book or article you published about, and how did you feel?

Hi catriana! Commendable. Fantastic! Something you can be proud of for a long long time. I've not published anything but lately I have a desire to publish some of the photos in my pictorial journal. I need some tips on how I could eventually publish them. Any help is most appreciated. Thanking you in advance.

Wow! That's awesome; I was I can write a book someday. I'm not really very good at writing long stories or articles, especially novels. I think my niche is just into short ones. I am happy for you my friend. I think that is every writer's wish.

Thanks. If you are in the niche of short stories now, that's great. Eventually you might find that one of your short stories grows inside of your mind and can become a longer story, or even that novel you'd like to write. I have a few of mine that may become that for me, once I finish the one i'm working on now.

I have never wrote a book, I have wanted to write an ebook and still plan on doing so. I need to look into that again as that was a goal two years ago and I have yet to get it going. For me my first article was on a internet site called ehow.com not sure what the article was but I do enjoy writing but being a fulltime college student most of my writing is done for that currently. I would love to write an ebook on love of tricks and tips of earning money online and offline. I am just not sure what direction to lead that into yet. I would love to know the name of your book so I could look into it. I know links are not allowed so I can add you if we are already not friends and maybe you could send me a link to your book where I could purchase it. Thanks for the post.

thanks for the friend request, and I accepted it. I know how being a college student is, lots of work involved. I'm currently trying to get my life reorganized so I can resume my classes, but I'm letting my writing come first right now.

I like to write a poem, but usually I forget about it cause I never save it. For a book, how much poem I need to get qualified.

I think the minimum page count for the publisher I used was 60 or somewhere there about, so it depends on length of poems and size of the book you want and several other factors.

Hello catriana13, I really feel happy when i finished my first article in triond i make hard to do it because that site is very strict in terms of grammar and the content of you articles. I have many times rejected in my articles because of the common ideas about life that's why i really feel sad on it but still i continue making my article in triond because i really love making article. Have a nice day.

that's great that you enjoy the writing so much. Keep working hard on it, and if you are having trouble with grammar and other technical aspects, perhaps have a friend help you with proofreading and editing of your articles.

Wow, congratulations! That's really great. Just last night, I was writing a journal entry and was feeling pretty down so I wrote an impromptu poem about how I was feeling. It wasn't really great but I felt good about it because it helped me sort out my feelings. I haven't really had anything published, I'm not a writer nor am I creative. But I hope to continue writing poems just to sort out my feelings and ideas and maybe to hone my writing skills, as well.

That was how I started out at first, was just putting my feelings into my poetry. I admit that the first dozen or so I wrote were not any good, but as I continued I began to realize that writing was what I wanted to do with my life, and I branched out into short stories and now I'm working on a novel as well. If you really want to do it, just do it, and don't let anyone tell you that you can't, or that you aren't good, because if you put your heart and soul into it, your work will become great.

I did a lot of research to find the type of publishing I wanted to use. there are a lot of options and you have to be careful because some of them are not legit, or cost a lot of money. I went with Amazon's self publisher, and I'm very satisfied with them. They didn't charge me huge fees or any of that, and it was very easy and comprehensive.
