Hello Lotters,
I am still at this internet cafe. since it's faster and mouse is a little bit nice from the one i have back home
i just thought of refreshing myself in changing my own profile a bit. well, not much since i got the coolest avatar that matches my star
For one thing, if you have not much to do, Try to make you're profile COOL once in a while. for me, it matters since i started doing this since the Friendster ERA. I didn't realize i can do it in mylot too.
Try it for once, even for Newbies.
PS: add HTML and put the code there.

First of all I would like to say that I really like your new profile design.
Secondly, I totally agree with you! I believe it's very important to update ones profile at least once per month. I, myself, just got back from 3 years off of myLot and the first thing I did when I returned today, was to change my profile to fit more to the time we're living :)
And, just as you said, I would like to encourage everybody to at least change a little thing every month. Also, it might be a reason for people to stop by your profile page no and then. And who knows, maybe they'll leave you a message.

). well, here's one i think. well, unfortunately, they cannot leave comments because i didn't add it in my profile. i just wanted them to look and listen to the songs. not bad and it's just neat not with out every thing else on it. some lotters do check my profile and listened to my songs.

Yup, I do that. As a matter of fact, I have changed thrice my avatar and my profile page as well by pimping. I realized too, that I don't want to use a very clear photo of myself or kids anymore since I tend to post something personal.Quite a shame you knew who I am, I think my silhouette is a lot better and I'll stick to it for a longer time, I guess. I even asked two elders here to help me out with the words and fonts.
It is a cool thing to do. I noticed , too, that a lot of newbies are asking help on how to do this. I believe MysD can help them like she did to me but I wonder where she is now....I miss her.:)

actually there are other discussions in this interest that tells an instruction how to edit or create you're profile. well, lamby did put some thing in here so i don't think we should just wait Aunt D. to do something also.

I am no computer savvy so I couldn't update my profile like those who knows the working of the computer brains well. I fear of causing an upset on my profile if I try to game around with my profile page. But I hope to learn something from the link you provided.

well, there is coming from sconi bear. you just have to give it a try. it's instructions how to have back ground image on you're profile. it ain't hard, you can learn it if you have time.

If you knew what it takes to update my profile, you wouldn't ask me...lol for some reason, codes have to be typed in, not copied and pasted. How I even got my profile was I gave a friend my password and she tried it when I couldn't. Then when she got it updated, she told me she typed it in manually..sorry, you'll have to see my background as it is forever..lol

No that isn't the problem Letran, I have sites where I can get backgrounds and even one I can make my own background, but the problem is on my "mylot profile" I have to type in the code, it won't work if I copy and paste it..

Hello carmel,
You didn't have to type it the old fashioned way. there's a site that allows you to generate codes which is relatively easy because it allows you to choose you're own Background image, colors on letters and theme.
after that the program will generate the code to be copy paste in you're html. like what i did. it's easy if you have free time check this instruction.

yes thats cute to have a sweet profile^^ but i dont know much about how can make it look better ahah^^ so thats why i have it so simple^^ i really like to see cute profiles like with many things there^^ but mine is too non interesting ahah anyway i will try to make it look good tomorrow with your link that you put here^^ i will check that out ahah and see if i also can make my profile look sweet and great ahah

well, if you go online i will help you how. if you're connection isn't as slow as mine then i could teached you step by step. i know you don't have to read instructions since you got busy mylotting to do by the time you go online. don't worry it's relatively easy.

I haven't tried "pimping" and "spicing up" my profile even when I joined.
All I ever did (i suppose) was to add some blurby information about myself and that's it! :D
The computer and internet speed is pretty much slow as well, so I'll have a hard time updating my profile with all the heavy html and coding.
Anyways, thank you for sharing the link.
I'll provide time for it once I hit my 10,000th post here! *wink

Just tried to edit my profile using what myLot could offer. I didn't want it to have too much of what it already has. Loading a page might take too much, especially when it has lots of media in it so, I still kept it simple. Just changed the color scheme as others would put it.
Still, it is nice to change things every once in a while

hi letran I have changed the colors in mine but while I love the new colors it makes it hard to read the text oh well one can hover their
mouse over that. I keep changing my avator as I love to make graphics and am always trying to find the best one.I also love your avatar its '

that's why you are always noticed. and talk about color, i loved it. you know i love color blue. but i'd leave it to my avatar and my star instead. so, i decided to choose space black as my back ground image. it's not bad though i get the chance to look at it very pretty

Heya, when I was still new here I did try to "pimp my profile". I was in the the layout editing zone back then. Of course that's because of the influence of Friendster.^_^ But that time, working the HTML codes on myLot is a multi layered puzzle. I do know the basics but there are just some times when my edits didnt show. Over time I just gave up the effort and let it be the default look. After some months, myLot had a new look. Along with that is my renewed drive to make my profile look the way that is pleasing to my eyes. So I came up with what I have now.^_^ I only update when I change a new pic or "motto", which is seldom really. I planned to put in a music player but I thought against it. It might make my profile load slowly.

If you have time go and check this discussion instruction made by Sconi. it will surely give you way to create a back ground image properly. i know i had some set backs then but mylot is better now in this. so, if you have time do check this link out so that you can make you're own.

What happens if your star color/rating changes? I guess it's nice that everything matches... I never really paid any attention to my MyLot profile but I suppose I could "pimp" it out like you're suggesting. That's alot of work though and I don't know if I'm that motivated.. LOL.

I like the color black, not exactly dark, it seemed like stars in the outer space thing. besides, it's more neat that way. if i choose white then it will be too shiny for others too see. you gotta give it a try. even if you're internet connection is slow it can work since mine is slow n

Lk, i checked out the link provided by you, really it is a cool site to make our profile in a good manner, you are right, we must update our profile once in a while and delete out the unwanted things from it to keep it in an organized manner
