I was just checking a local temp agency for a list of jobs. I selected "All" types "All" locations... and yet there was only two pages of jobs listed. I was surprised that there was only two pages of jobs listed for such a high search parameter. My initial search for seasonal didn't retrieve anything so that's why I selected all. Have you been looking for a job recently and ran into the same thing?

I am lucky and have been at the same job for 25 years....and don't plan on looking for one in the near future. I don't know where you are at but there are still plenty of jobs around here...but we had the Mayo Clinic etc that really employs alot of people. Good luck with the job hunt!

Although I am currently employed, I do look at job boards regularly because the industry that I am in is in a steady decline. I don't feel like there is any job security so I always look. And yes, most of the time there is nothing out there. It's frustrating! But I have hope, so I keep looking.

I am in a small town, and there is practically nothing. On the other hand, because I am on unemployment, I have to go look through Kansasworks. If I just look at their jobs, and put in for a 25 mi. radius, I get over two hundred jobs. However, most of them need some kind of certification, and mine are all lapsed.

I expect the probem is the recession. I read that yesterday in the U.K. over 700,000 peope woke up and went to work not knowing that this was their last day working. It is awful everywhere, At east in the deveped countries people get help to ive. But there is nothing in my country - no help at all and they have to sell their homes and move into their parent's homes. I do hope that you get work. I have one son out of work and I am trying to help him as he ismarried with a chid, Hissiblings help too. Best of luck

I am having rather the opposite experience. I search for jobs within a 5 mile radius of my post code, and have jobs as far afield as Southampton (around 45 miles away) listed.
