I can't believe i'm jobless again

i can't believe i'm jobless again. i was actually supposed to attend another job offer earlier but i didn't go. i was planning to get myself another job just to get away from the previous beating i've had with my last one. what was i thinking applying for another call center company. i admit, the pay is good but the costumers are monsters. i mean, i've actually been scolded at several times from the first moment of the call. i don't wanna complain though cuz it is what it is. it's a job that pays you to be scolded upon. i was starting to think that these customers have never had a nice day from the day they were born. it's like they're born angry. i can't blame them. if they think they can get through life by yelling at people then it's gonna be their loss in the long run. anyway, the reason i'm babbling yadayadayada here is cuz i'm kinda lost. i've taken up civil engineering but i'm still an undergraduate and i'm nearly out of interest with the course. i wanna take up fine arts or mass media but it'll take me a couple more years to finish. it's never too late, i know this. i'm just saying i'm confused. i'm so confused i applied at a call center company to get away from being a call center agent -- that confused. how about you guys? how are you? are you doing fine? how's the bacon?

Sweetie, i got lost and confused just around that corner where you mentioned something about a course or something. Did you really have to post that this fast? I hate thinking on a friday. Now let me see what the problem is. Okay, you lost your job dealing with childish adults who love ranting and raving right? Okay, now you want to do another course which will take you longer. Do the arts and media you are good at it. Look for something to earn in between and start to breath okay. I don't eat bacon. TATA.

Good to know there's someone else who shared my experience. Also, good to know you're not into bacon. You don't wanna increase your calories.

wondering around - looking for a job
Hello Front Visions, Why did you let go of that "JOB OFFER" are you serious? you know foreigners expect a lot from the customer service since they are clients. it's just that they're are situations that company can't give even though you wanted to. Irate customers are normal to boot. well, i don't want to say that the job isn't for you because you got the OFFER their my friend. The reason why I am saying this because i had the same fear as you did. look at me now, still wondering in the woods. If you don't try the call center job, at least you will be trained in terms of patience..I can't even get a steady funding for an application since it needs money. I haven't had any job for two years...do you know how that feels? the next time you get a job offer, take it, don't wonder around choosing jobs. the opportunity might not come again...take it from me, you're almost taking the path i took.

Besides, how can you fund for you're next movie if you don't have that salary. don't let confusion, stress and fear take over you from taking the next step. because you will be the one who is at lost in the end. i know you're kind of expertise. at least while working, save some money for this media or special effects course...life is harder than you think..okay, think it over..i understand the stress. it's easy to get mad and quit. but going back is HELL harder than all the stress

Alright. I'm not really into creating a full length movie, though. Thanks for the motivation.

I'm not comfortable with the 'bond' terms and conditions. I have the tendency to absent unexpectedly and this might cause me to breach the contract that's why i didn't sign it. You're right though. I shouldn't be choosing jobs. It's just that i'm all exhausted with the pressure and stress the job inflicts that i wasn't able to think clearly.

I`m jobless too . I was to an interview but they wanted someone with some experience in marketing, and i don`t have that . I just worked in a company in production for 3 months and that was 3 years ago . Sure that it wasn`t enought. I didn`t know what they really want, because they didn`t told me too many things. Now i`ve sent my CV to other companies, but there is more than a week, and not even a single call .

out of job - looking for in the paper
Are you still working or about to quit? remember that you're lucky to have that job, don't let it go. a lot of people are competing to get a job and here you are planning to quit and look for another. I am still having trouble which career i should take next because i know that it's hard to go into the call center now in my case. there will come a time where call centers would stop accepting undergraduates

So you've been jobless for 3 years? That's a long time, man. Maybe you should apply on a different industry. I'm working on a call center cuz they accepted undergraduates.

I'm currently out of job. Really? I don't think call centers will ever refuse accepting undergraduates. Those are the type of people they'll benefit from. Why don't you try call center industry, letran? It's easy. You can do it.

Hi Frontvisions, so sorry to hear that you are out of job again. I think when you find your calling, you will enjoy life again. I am surprised to hear the bad experience with customers. I mean those customers want answers, why should they scold the operators? They could have explained the problems clearly in order to get them solved.

Believe me i've told them that a number of times. They don't know how to listen. They just wanna solve their problem and they wanna have it their way. I was so close to telling them that life isn't fair so stop being a baby.

I am unemployed as well. The company I was working for went bankrupt (thanks to the wonderful economy) so I ended up losing my job. My husband works so we do have income coming in, we just were used to my income as well, so we had to tight our belt so to speak. I have been preparing income tax for years, so during tax season I do work, which is good. I hope you find a job soon. Good luck to you.

Oh. That's unfortunate. Well, i'm on my way for another job. I hope you find yourself a new one too. Life is hard and it requires you to at least have an income. Better look for one as early as possible.

well friend.. so sorry to hear all of your problems. remind it that life is a struggle and we are bound to face it. If you become disappointed at the very early age of your life, then you can't prepare yourself to encounter all those problems which are about to come in your life. be patient. what's your age and what's your education.... not a matter but just you have run on the race of life. pick up the best for you and install it in your mind. well, i am a govt. serviceman and no problem with my job. all the best.

Well, i've come to realize that lately but i haven't been too regretful of losing my job. I feel like i just need a break from all of the shouting and cursing. I can find another one, i'm sure of it.

Being an undergraduate limits your job choices in this country. Why don't you try applying for a non-voice account - you don't have to deal with horrible customers but still can use your experience to apply. Try applying somewhere near your school so that you can continue with the course you have chosen. Believe me, when you are older, you will appreciate getting a course you like.

That's what i thought. I should've gone for a course that i'm interested in cuz if i'm not, i'd be more or less pursuing that interest anyway. There aren't any non-voice account available currently. I'm still out of job. :(

get yourself a break and read "unpredictably irrational". it will kill the stress of your day. im half way through the ebook. i had taken up architecture before but it made itself clear it was not for me. it seems that the only way to earn money is from online. it is really important to decide wisely.

If you really don't need the job, don't get one. You'll make yourself sore, and it could end up a very unpleasant experience. If you do get a job you really don't feel for much but because you really need it for cashflow, then work with what you have. They don't pay you that much for a job so that you can sit pretty. You've got to work your behind off to deserve that good pay. In this case, getting yelled at by your customers. Since you're aware that almost all your customers are going to yell at you and rant about something, look past that and prepare a sheet of phrases you're going to tell the customer to make them feel better. Remember, work with what you have. And that's only going to happen if you want to do the job. ;-)

Thanks for the tip. I know the big pay means extra pressure. It's just that all humans have a peek. I've reached mine and i just felt i need to get out of it. I like what you said: 'work with what you have.' i'm definitely gonna keep that in mind.

im sorry for that. me too im kinda lost. i want to find a job but in last place i worked i was always stressed and feeling bad. so i guess that i dont want that again to be all day working and then have nothing. thats why i wanted to work online bcs at least i could be working and give money to my mother^^ and at the same time i can distract myself. anyway i think that i really have to give up on this idea bcs if i just earn like 3 or 2 dollars a day wont be a big help to my mum pay bills. im sorry that you have to work in a call center and you dont like it. why dont you try to just work in a call center for like three monthes and then save that money for your studies? then you can follow your dream^^

hello, friend. i don't think you need to find a job for your life. and in my opinion . you could earn enough for your life by mylot . and you have about 4450 . this is enough for your life. but you could find something you are interested . then do it . just as your parttime job. and you will be so happy in mylot. and you could earn more than a job .

Let me see if I can help you with your problem. Im no spring chicken, so been there, done that. Working in a call center is whats making you feel that way. You cant be yelled at day in and day out and feel good when you get out of there?? Find another job, ANY job where you dont have to be yelled at. Work as a waiter in a bar or restaurant. The mood is much happier there and it'll do you really good. Its normal to be confused and not know what to do. Take some time off. Think of what you REALLY like doing. Dont think of the pay or the status of a job....think of how happy it can make you? Do you like music? well try to find something related to music, even if its working in a music store!!! So find another job that has NOTHING to do with call centers. Take a deep breath, its going to be ok!! You applied to another call center because its something you know, something you're familiar with. Are you afraid of the unknown....its ok, we all are. Take the plunge, get the newspapers or go online and find a happy job...THEN you can decide what you really want to do....but a word of advice...you wont be doing the same job for the rest of your life....that doesnt exist anymore. Hope I could help you a little and make you feel better? Good luck and break a leg!!

I kinda feel you with all the beating and stuff. Here in my profession as a Medical Transcriptionist, the process is almost the same like CC Agent but the thing is ours are recorded and we gotta type what the doctor has to say in whatever means, even if virtually you cannot understand what the doctor is saying. I wanna quit this job but then I thought I'll be penniless again, of course I do not want that. As to correlation with your case, you are being payed to be scolded, as for mine, I'm being payed to understand some imbecile doctor who cannot even pronounce a simple English, what's more is they do not even know how to freagin construct a good sentence.

Well, i suggest you don't quit the job. Find a way to work it out. Life is hard nowadays and being jobless is not an option. That's why i'm looking for a job now. I don't wanna just be idle for the rest of the year. That's very unproductive.

hmm..this is common problem but so seriously to be taken. I have that same feeling to 5 years ago. My mother was angry with me all the time because I do not earn. All of us need a living that will sustain us. Sometimes it makes us depressed to because we feel useless. But you know what, I let my family members see my diligence in finding a new job. And its effective. Looking for something means there is something you will look for and be able to find it!

i have been experienced that twice in my life, that i will be jobless again it because seldom of the company here in my country to regular their employee,so all employee are project base and contractual only, and now hoping that it would never happen to me again to be jobless in life.
