Why didn't they think of that before?

Buffalo grass, it only grows 6 inches tall according to the advertisement! You can mow it or not. Personally, I'd rather have a bunch of useful plants that multiply slowly and only get to three inches tall. I consider mowing lawn a bother. I can never keep up with it when I work a lot. It's also a waste of time, money, and resources (if you use gas or electric mowers). Things should just grow the correct height to begin with. We have a ton of pine needles covering our lawn and each year it burns more of it. The plants that come in to replace the grass are always so much more interesting than grass. Red, white, yellow and hops clovers as well as goat's beard or what we call paint brushes are more fun. Wild strawberry plants are way more fun. So have you ever thought, "Why didn't they think of that(or have that product or do that, etc.) before? What was it? Why would you perfer it?

As bad as mowers are to the environment, (Unless it is a reel mower), I love cutting the grass. It is a chore where no one can talk to me and my fmaily really doesn't bother me when I am cutting..lol So I guess I am one of those few who enjoy this task..

We have one too, except the blades are dull and one of the handles is broken. Still usable, but a back breaker..lol

Our new one is lightweight aluminum (still hard to push, but not as heavy) and came with sharpeners.

I have a reel lawnmower, but my hubbie uses the gas one. He had wanted a riding one when gas hit $3 a gallon the last time (it's that again this year). I used to like some odd things because people left me alone when I lived with my original family, too. Like being in the bathroom by myself. But we all picked different parts of the woods when we went out, so that worked, too.

well, the nice thing about grass is that it grows at about the same rate and covers rather evenly, I can't say that about the weeds growing in my yard... they grow in clumps and of varied heights...

I worked where they had wild thyme. The purple flowering kind grew to about 6 inches. They would cut it down to three and it smelled great! It covered pretty evenly. There was a drought that year and that's what kept growing instead of the grass. Yeh, lots of first year weeds are clumpers, but they often fill in by the next year or so.

Why would anyone waste water on grass in Texas?

I have a friend who always said he was going to plant buffalo grass, so people would not call city enforcement on him when he did not mow it. Hubby does not ever think to mow, so I do it. I would be like you, I would rather have something useful and/or fragrant growing over my yard.

Wow..that souds like an awesome peoduct. Sure would save a lot of time and money to just have grass that just grew the proper height..lol..I suppose that would be the product now that I think why they haven't thought of before.

Yes, could put lawn mower people out of business.
