I have a full time job with an excellent company doing business internationally. I very much enjoy the job. Yet, the days get very long often, and by the time I get back home it could be 10 pm, tired and exhausted. I have to have a way to relax and get rid of the stresses of the long day. My favorite way has been listening to classical music, Chopin, Mozart, Johan Strauss, and more. I keep a collection of CD's of classical music. How about you ? What is your favorite way of relaxation ?

A nice soothing massage at our favorite spa. They have soothing nature songs that add to the relaxing effect. And the delicious minty smell of the oils they use tops it all.

Hello i am retired now, i taught in colleges for long 44 years, so i don't have to go to any job, i do watch old hindi movies in tv, hear hindi movie songs and devotional songs. But the best way to relax for me is to play with my granddaughter Subhee just three years young, a real sweet angel.. Thanks for sharing. Professor. . Cheers

My favorite way to relax is a cup of coffee on the balcony with a good book. I would sit there before sunset and enjoy my good tea. It will also be very nice if I have my hubby to share it with. Being at home is a good way of relaxation for me, away from the crowd and car noises.

I'd say my favourite way of relaxing is watching a DVD/movie I like on my own; I just love doing this, in fact too much: it makes me feel selfish. I also love reading under the duvet before a nap. Also...drinking tea or coffee while reading e-mails or just surfing the net is very relaxing...same can be said for taking a leisurely stroll near my place...I love doing that, just taking in the sights, smells and sounds...if it's a warm summer evening, it barely comes any better!

Indeed, those are very good options for relaxation. I also believe in the herbal values of tea. I drink tea, black tea and also green tea, a few times a day. Very refreshing !

Hi Greenline, I read to relax. After a stressful day, I would want to curl up with a favorite book (new or read), with lots of cushy pillows and snacks. The tv could be on (background music/noise) - it doesn't matter; I'm totally absorbed in whatever book I'm reading!

Hello Lazeebee. Nice to see you. How are you ? Yes, reading is a good way for relaxation. I also read novels of my favorite authors. For me, browsing through magazines is another option.

With my days being as busy as they are with work and being a wife and mother, I have found that the best way for me to relax is to open a good book and read it when lie down at night. This has really helped me to get my mind off of the daily grind. I tend to get a better night of sleep and wake up feeling more refreshed than I do on the nights when I don't bother to open a book.

I usually lie down, close my eyes and listen to music. Until I feel better, I'll go out and talk to my friends or my neighbors.

music is a great form of relaxation to almost everybody. I love to hear cinema songs a lot and some selected classical musicians. Sometimes I like to hear instrumental solo, especially flute. Another way of relaxing is to watch some hilarious shows in tv. either way, I come out with full energy again.

Instrumental music solo ! Oh yes. One instrument I like very much is the harp. That is so beautiful and enchanting. I have been dreaming of playing the harp, but still have not got to it.

The way I relax is go to the gym, after which I tend to talk with friends and just listen to people I know talk about their day and just socialize. I tend to want to be with people more compared to being alone.

Socializing with friends and colleagues is a good way for relaxation. That eases the tensions one would be feeling in the course of the day. I certainly agree with you.

Relaxation us a rarity for me as well due to my work. That's why I have a daily relaxation method upon reaching home. If I have more time, I will do yoga to relax my body and mind. If not, I will watch tv while reading books occasionally. Mylot is not a form of relaxation for me because I see it as another job of mine. When I happen to have weekend off, I will either go for a swim or window shopping.

Practising yoga is, indeed, a very good way for mental and physical relaxation. I have been practising meditation too for many years now. That very much helps getting rid of the stresses.

My favorite way of relaxation is doing the meditation when I feel stress. It is an excellent way to calm the restless mind. What I need to do is that, I just need to sit in a quiet, comfortable place, close the eyes and focus on one single thought. This will help me to discard all unwanted thoughts from my mind and it will make me feel at peace. Normally, the best time for me to do meditation is when I am praying, that is during the time i am talking to the god. I just focus on what I wanna tell the god, and I will feel peaceful because it make me feel like sitting with god together.

I certainly agree with you. Meditation is an excellent way. I have been practising mindfulness meditation for some years now, sitting atleast for an hour in the evenings after I get back home from work.

I like very much my job as well, but I think that it is important relaxing after job and doing something different. During the week I like to watch a film (at home or in the theatre) or go out for a drink, in the weekend I like to travel (when I can) and visit new place. I also like to have a walk in the naturel place or to stay with a lot of friends!

Yeah, those are very good ways. Isn't nice to drive out to the country-side over the weekends, a very refreshing change of environment. When the weather is favorable, I like doing that too.
