One of the key elements of any organization is it's performance appraisal system. As it is usually subjective most people feel hard done by it at some point in time or other. What is your opinion of the performance appraisal system in your organization? Do you feel largely it is fair enough?
Cheers!

Honestly not, it's unfair to us. We are in the company for almost 2 years but until now we still didn't get salary increase and the contract is still for review. I already submitted to him the contract for review and approve, I guess I don't have to remind him every single hour cause he should know that by now.

Yeah, that's how bad it is. I am thinking of applying for a job abroad. I wanted to move from another job not later than February.

My office has no formal performance appraisal system. In fact, there is no appraisal needed as we have no increments over the past decades. Most of the staff are abusing their hours in office when the boss is not around and pretending to work when the boss is around. it is the case of the more capable a person is, the more the work load, the lesser the pay is worth.

I do not like my companies annual appraisal review. They tie in things that individuals have no control over so that no one can achieve a stellar rating in order to keep raises low. I find this very unfair.Unfortunately, this is common practice in most large corporations.
