Life After School

When I was still studying, I really never thought of the reality that's behind life after school. Because I find working people more relaxed - no more requirements and deadlines to deal on. And that looking for a job is not a problem because if you are determined enough to have a job, then you do all your best and you'll have a job. You must have to have the confidence, skills, and licence. But, when I graduated and got my licence, I found things to be very different from what I thought. To have a job is very difficult because most employers are looking for experienced applicants. That was when I realized the cliché: "welcome to the club of the unemployed citizens." Right now, I and my friends are still looking for a job that matches our profession. And I hope that we can find one soon, for us to be financially stable - able to provide our personal needs and help our families. So, if you are still studying, enjoy your life because after school will surely be a different avenue requiring greater responsibility.

Dear ren_hbl Although you have got a job also, there's a long journey that you will encounter in your working days like you have been scolded by your employer, how do you tackle administrative problems and else. In my life, my journey is not smooth. After I graduate, I never found a good employer and I have tried my best to be a good employee. However, you need to have a good interpersonal skills aswell. This is what I learn from my schooling days until now. Hope you will get what you want in your job! Good Luck :)

Hi! Yup, your right. Wherever we go, we always have to struggle and face the challenges that life brings us. And, that keeps us stronger to really pursue our dreams and go on with our lives. That's actually the spice of life that we somehow should be thankful of.

I know what you mean. You are a nurse, right? I miss school so much. I have a lot of money and I can buy the things I want. Now, I don't even have some to buy food for myself. My parents don't give money because I am always at home. I wish I am still in school.

Yes, I agree with you and I want my school life again, without any worries except of home work and teacher. The practical life is very difficult and hard, it is not easy to survive in this world with unemployment tag, though I am still studying but after my college life I used to work and I know how difficult it is. I want my those days back but I know it cannot be back. Simply those days are just memories....

Hi, there, I think you must have just graduated from university. I once have the same concern with you, I was wondering how my life would be after school. To be frank, life after school is to a great extend a little difficult. When I just graduated from school, I find everyday I wake up early in the morning and ready to go for 2-3 interviews. And when I returned home, I find myself so tired. Anyway, I am lucky, I find my job and stay there till now. And I start my new life there, support myself and start my career adventures there.

There are many things awaiting for everyone after graduation. It is a matter of grabbing those opportunities. Keep on sending your applications to any business establishments just to have work experience.

That's right. I've had my time when i was still in school and i don't regret that i had fun back then. Those were definitely the times that me and my friends can go back to and talk about.

Welcome to mylot ren.. I am aware of the stiff competition for jobs in Davao, i was there for few months, i still have lot of friends there. You have got a job, that's good, but keep your efforts up, apply for jobs, face more and more interviews, jump up if you get a higher paying decent job, BEST OF LUCK Thanks for this discussion. Professor. . Cheers

i just miss those good ole days. life was simply carefree and happy go lucky compared than my work now. even if i had my assignments, lectures and exams but i find it more fun than work. my work is too serious and risky you know i work in a hospital as a nurse i feel threatened with my profession.
