Mylot Login Box??

I've been going about my evening posting here and all of a sudden a box pops up asking me to sign in and authenticate myself. This isn't something I am used to seeing, as I actually haven't experienced it before. I have to say it's very annoying because it doesn't go away even if I attempt to fill in my username and password, I know just cancel it.
Have you experienced this and does anyone know why it happens?

I have never received this myself to say, but I read where someone else has. Hopefully it was just a one time thing deal, as I am sure it can be quite annoying.

Tonight all I do is receive this box after responding to something, it's getting very frustrating now because it slows down the site rapidly. I'm hoping that this won't effect anything :(

Have you tried clearing out your cookies, cache and history try that first and then open new browser and see if that works. Outside of that perhaps you may need to contact admin as I can see it being very frustrating.
If you figure out why this is happening shoot me a message in case I too ever get this.

It did not pop up after I responded to you. I will see if it happens now when I finish adding this extra response. I imagine it is some kind of glitch.

No i never experienced before on mylot in reality!!
May be it was a strange event caused by the system..but i never saw before..so i don't knwo precisely in what way some people encountred this problem...

It just keeps coming up as I respond to something, I really don't know anymore but I am still logged in and that seems fine. I just keep getting this box that asks me to authenticate myself, which is becoming very annoying as I can't get around the site without it popping up.

Yup, it happened to me too. I even thought it's some kind of bugs or maybe virus that try to persuade me to giving my password, so I always press the x button. Surely it's annoying for me, because I already logging in once, why would I'm asked again in the middle of my discussion. It's not ever happened before from other sites I registered. Did anyone here know where it's come from?

No such things did not happen to me,may be b'coZ you people are seniors and your topics becomes to heavy to handle......just joking.One thing is for sure when it happens it really do hamper our concentration on either posting a new discussion or responding to.....
Generally myself not being above 500 mark so it really difficult,when accidentally the whole response or the new discussion gets white washed or becomes blank box,while at my place one cannot even copy it fully from the before hand documents,its a very tedious work to copy it half a sentence.Even though its good to be here along with you seniors.

This has happened to me twice this evening. This is the first time it has ever happened to me. I had to do the same thing you did, since filling in my name and password did not make it go away but cancelling it did. I have no idea what is going on here.

yes this is happening to me also. i think this is a sort of phishing and so i didn't provide my details in the appearing box and i recommend the same to other fellow mylotters.
so just cancel it you may become a victim and all of your earning can be put on stake... and you might not be able to log on to same account later..
kindly take security precautions if it was done by mylot then there must be some sort of notification

I think it just happened to me, but I am not sure. I just canceled it and went on with what I was doing. I did not look to see where it originated, and I just assumed it was something that showed up from my new computer.

I am glad I got it when I did, as my hubby is now out of work again. I would have put off buying it again, as I have about five times since May. We are suddenly going to go out of town, and I have to have the laptop to be able to get online while we are gone.

I dont know if its a new mylot feature of something but it is so annoying. Its been doing it to me since I first logged in this morning. I dont usually log out ever but I did a clean up thing on my computer and it deleted all the caches and stuff so when I came to mylot I had to sign in. Its making everything on mylot run slower. Every post I make it posts up. Its driving me nuts. I wonder whats up with this.

It could be a phishing attempt by someone or a group of people.
The box came up a few minutes ago. I saw no reason why I needed to authenticate myself, so I did not fill in anything, and pressed the cancel button. I intended to start a discussion on this matter when I saw this discussion.
At the moment things seem normal after I cancelled the request, while you are experiencing some slowness, most probably because you filled in the blanks It does look like a misbehaving piece of code.

No, I havenot experience this type of thing in my three days at myLot, as by reading the other discussions no one have had this problem. I dnot know what is the policy of myLot if you sign in with wrong password for more than couple of times but on face book if you write wrong password then there appears some capita to enter or your account freezes for some time, look on this side of mirror, may be some one, may be, used your user name with wrong password more than 20 times in same intervals and it happened to you, just for safety check it with admins of myLot
