Have you really thought about this? If compared to our ancestors... our lives are so much easier these days, every thing is so convenient, with in our reach... even roads are better... and travelling is easier too... we have a lot of choices when it comes to communication as well, the internet, the phones, cellular phones, etc... Talking about what we have now, ready for us... what do you think? Are we really the most blessed generation?

I would say that getting the TAG of most blessed Generation comes with some losses as well. The first respondent has wisely said that it also brings the weakening of our health as the major issue. I won't say we are blessed generation because, The next generation after this would be called generation "ALFA", due to more advancement in Technology, the IQ factor will play greater role in deciding the role of the human being in the universe. The only worry that I get is that If we go according to Darwin's theory of evolution then our average lifespan will start decreasing due to poor health conditions. Today we are talking about Internet, cellular phones, trains, Airplanes. Who knows what comes next in the generation after this. Our imagination doesn't have the power to reach the limits. Hence, the fiction like Time travel could be a next wonder. Hence, Every generation is a blessed one till the time they leave enough for the next and newer generation to take another leap in the History of man-kind!!!

thank you for your response. your thoughts are very great and i would say it got me thinking.. as we go our way in this life of ours, and in this earth we live in... we could always have the best but its always a matter of mind set.. our ancestors have had their times too.. and they built churches, invented phones, and other stuffs too and these were only improved as we go along... :) and yes.. who knows what could be in store for our children and their children in the years to come!

Technologically this is the most blessed generation. But health wise are these people of new generation very much better off than the previous ones,i have my own doubts. The previous generations despite obstacles of technology were more content and happy. This is a blessed generation which can do much better in the lacuna i have listed above.

thank you.. i guess you are right when it comes to the health part... we have more stress now when it comes to choosing the foods we eat.. so many options are available and yet not all of them are good for us. i would still choose to live in this day and age though as i cannot think of living without my cellular phone, or the internet.. hehe

Each generation can feel that they are the most blessed. It is just the time we are living in. Relecting on the past and looking to the future make us feel this way. We can only hope that our generation is the most blessed.

Convenience wise, yes we are now belong to a blessed generation, very spoonfeed to all fields of communications and transportation. To other end, its also an ease enough to do a hi-tech of global and massive destruction. We have no peaceful surroundings nowadays as what our ancestor experienced.

might be true...but apart from all the comforts & luxuries the present generation has also been blessed with a new set of fatal diseases which our ancestors did not have to deal with

I think we are the most blessed generation. Because we get everything in just a blink of a eye. The worl was very far for our ancestors, But now the wolrd has came very closer. We have many facilities now. Dont known about future generations because we can see resources are getting deplated. so according to me we are the most luckiest!!!

that is true, our generation ws blessed with technology that lets us do a lot of things... we have good facilities, better roads, more tools, and so on. i guess it is just a matter of how we are able to use them, right? :D thank you so much for your response and have a great day.

I think that we are the most blessed generation compared with our ancestors when they used to live at a time everything was not so advanced and convenient as what we possess now. New technologies and advanced science develop very fast and we benefit a lot from them. So to be brief, we are indeed the most blessed generation. Bless you, chiyosan.

Hi chiyosan, There is no doubt that life on this planet is getting better all the time but we still have a long way to go. When many people of my age talk of the good old days, it's because they were young than and had a lifetime ahead of them. Like young people today, we didn't think that we would ever get old and life was wonderful. The world today is a much better place to live with all the modern technology. I don't believe that the crime rate has gone up, it's just that we hear about everything today. It was much easier to get away with things a hundred years ago too, especially if you were rich. Blessings.

I don't feel we are the most blessed generation either. I think back in the 50's just after the war was the most blessed. Such an innocent time and getting ready for the hippy generation and free love. Now there was a generation. Free love, space, all the new stuff going on in the world.

I don't think this is the most blessed generation. As people...have we really improved? Are we one big happy community? Forget all the material stuff. I think our ancestors were better as people...they valued morals, family and dignity. Just my opinion.

I dont think we are the most blessed generation.Simply because of the increased rate of crime, and also for the global warming and specially our Health.most of our ancestors die in ages of 100+ long years ago but with the kind of environment and foods that we take,we are just merely in 60+.Sad but true.

Compared to every human generation? I think, we don't know yet since we still lived on the very same place we live... The Earth. More generations will come and maybe they are more blessed than we do that most of the problems of humanity are solved. We do not know if it is... But compared to past generations, I think it is very different how we could define how blessed we are. We are technological advance, but we have more problems in environment. We are more scientifically advanced, but we have the most potent killers of humanity like AIDS, HIV, Ebola. We are more open to information exchange, but our privacy has been compromised that our private life might be circling around the internet without our knowledge. We are more advance to militarization and weaponry, but we are exposed to a bigger danger of human extinction due to nuclear war. We are free from slavery but we are more exposed to racism and racial discrimination... So you see... it is very indifferent than on what you like to measure that we are blessed.... So I can not specifically say that we are the bast generation... So far.

Yeah, I think we have more facilities than our ancestors, and if you think that technology and every thing is blessing then we are most blessed generation. But on the other hand, we have more destructive things which make us, more worse generation over the past generation. But as a whole our life is so easy, we have better facilities of life....:)

hi there saqi! :D thank you for your response.. well yes in terms of technology, facilities, and things presented to us our generation is sso much blessed than others. When you do have to do a research, it is easy and its almost always available over the internet.. even job applications have become very easier when you apply online and that you no longer have to go to the buildings and submit your resume and leave it in the security guards. haha :D
