If you would look at them they look clean but the fact that they crawl in the floor and in the sand they maybe dirty. They even get into our foods. :( We don't know if they bring germ or what. What do you think? What do you do if you see an ant in your food? Do you just remove the ant and eat the food or discard the whole thing?
I heard before that they have this substance in their body which kills the germs in their body that's why they keep clean. But I'm not really sure if it was the ant or some other instect I dont really remember.

Ants are not really dirty but they are really healthy for us.. haha =D Ants are rich in protein and they only bring good things to us, unless they decide to give us a bite?? lol =D Many of us sees ants as being eerie because they often appears in a huge group, out of nowhere in a short period of time. BUt when we see them alone, we dun see it as a threat right?? hehe

I am not really quite sure if ants are as clean as you metion as my first thought is that it is a creepy crawler that somehow I can not relate to clean in any way.

Now that you have mentioned it, I am wondering. When I see an ant on my food, I will normally remove the ant and continue eating. However, if it is a fly, I will remove the surrounding food and throw them away. In any case, I read before that our mouth is the place which have the most bacteria. Since food passes through the food, I guess we are eating a fair bit of bacteria every meal.

sort of but not really. i remember finishing my coffee one morning and noticing later when im almost done that it had ants on it. not that i dont mind, i just didnt notice right away. besides we have our immune systems to help us cope with minor germs (if there are, coming from ants). wouldnt hurt a lot, but i wouldnt encourage eating food with ants on it though
