Have a favorite fragrance? There is a way to layer the perfume so it's scent stays on you all day. Rub a tiny bit of petroleum jelly on your pulse points(wrists, sides of neck, back of knees), then mist your fragrance over the balm. The scent will cling to the balm all day. I think this is such a great idea. Does anyone do this?

Use the bath products and lotions of the same fragrance. When showering, apply a thin layer of shower gel, then towel off until the skin is still slightly damp. Then generously apply the fragrance body lotion. Then, spritz your cologne or perfume on all the pulse points. Finally, complete the layering process by turning your top inside out and spritz it as well. Done!

I have used the body gel, the lotion, then the powder and then, at last the perfume. Reading this over.....maybe I 'reeked' terribly. LOL

That's what's good with layering. You won't reek, compared to when you dump a ton of perfume on you. The good thing, too, is that your movements will help - everytime you move, the people get a whiff of your fragrance.

No I do not, but I can share that I use body lotion with a dab of petroleum jelly, I have done this religiously for many years and believe me when I tell you how smooth and silky my skin is. I have given this small secret to a great many friends and they love it just as much as I do.

You are very welcome.. I have been doing this for years and can't begin to tell you the compliments I get. Especially my heels they are as soft as a baby's skin. Glad I could share something helpful.

I have never hear of doing this but it does sound like a good idea because perfume does cling better to moist skin. But you shouldn't apply it right after a shower or it wont cling because you don't have you natural oils back in your skin yet.

Hi. Nadinest1. I have never tried this before. I did not know that this could make the scent last longer. I will definitely try this. Many people can smell me when I have perfume on. I want to make sure that my fragrance last longer now. Thanks you for this tip! I know that many women that wear perfume will be glad to here about this.

Won't the petroleum jelly affect the scent? Because it could have some chemical reaction with the perfume or cologne. When I put on perfume, I spritz some into my hair. And everytime I toss my hair, it gives a subtle hint of the perfume I'm wearing .

Yes, I have heard of women spritzing it in their hair. And, i am wondering, if you can see perfume in your hair....will it look greasy? I suppose not....if you just use a little.

Well, yes you have to use just a little. Because if you use too much it could overwhelm other people and even you. Either I spritz on my hands and work my hands through my hair, or I spray once above my head maybe one foot away. That does the trick.

I may just do this. Just this morning I went through my second to last of my colognes. I only have one left. So, maybe I'll use the petroleum jelly to make this one bottle last a lot longer. No, I don't do this, but thanks for the tip. I used to work for a cosmetic company, and we would rather have our customers finish off all their fragraces quickly, so they could buy more.
