With his whole battle fleet with him, Obama is doing exactly what he said, securing jobs and trade for Americans.

I wonder what part of the visit Fox News will focus on?
Hint hint:
"Indian commentators seized on the president's failure to mention Pakistan, India's neighbor and bitter rival. Pakistan was home to the 10 assailants."

"I wonder what part of the visit Fox News will focus on?"
Every post I write is full up with typing mistakes. I'm certainly no editor.
But I just couldn't let this pass. This is just too big a mistake to ignore.
It should read: "I wonder what part of the visit FOX NEWS!!! will focus on?"
Much better now.

Or they will focus on the leftist Indians protesting upon his arrival.

Rightyfish, rightyfish, rightyfish.
You have it wrong, too. So, I gotta fix it.

It would be good except for a few minor points.
1. Companies like Dell computers are still operating their customer support from India. 2. It is low compared to the number of jobs still being lost and not nearly enough of a shot in the job outlook to change the percentage of unemployment.
3. The article doesn't mention exactly what type of jobs are being created nor who exactly will benefit.
4. The article is from a very bias sourced. (But that one is obvious.)
5. A majority of these trade deals were already put into place by the Bush administration and ready to happen. The details just had to be finalized. You can look that little fact up. Don't be surprised if you also hear about deals from South Korea and Japan.
I do give President Obama credit for some things. He did sign the Ledbetter act in the first month of his term. He also followed President Bush's strategy for leaving Iraq. But the rest of it was not so good.
Will give him credit if he signs an extension on all tax credits and if he can actually work with a Republican House without taking pot shots at them every couple of days. (Sometimes I think he forgets that he also needs Republican votes to get reelected.) Will give him credit if he stops blaming Bush for everything.

He plans to give an extension on all tax credits for everyone's first $250,000 in income, across the board. That is as fair a compromise as needs to be given.
We democrats will oust him ourselves if he compromises any further with the party of NO.

Why do you imply that No is a bad word. No. I don't need that extra serving of ice cream. No. You can't cross the street by yourself. No. I don't need that extra sweater on my credit card. No. You can't play with fire. No. You shouldn't sign something without reading it. No. You can't go to a party by yourself without a parent being present. No. You can't go to the mall by yourself with our credit card. No. You shouldn't sign a bill without actually reading it. No. You shouldn't spend all of that money on bailouts with no real guarantees. No. You shouldn't print more money because it leads to inflation.
But I have to ask what exactly do you have against the rich? You know the ones that pay 70% of the actual federal taxes. You can look that little fact up too. What is it about them that makes them a target? Is it because they actually make money? Is it because they got lucky on an idea and turned into a business? Is it because they afford to pay the hairdressers, the store clerks, the cleaning ladies, the people who provide services that they don't necessarily need but want? Is it because they were smart with their money? I am curious why the prejudice against the rich? Isn't that as bad as judging people on the color of their skin or judging them just because they have a different religion or judging them because they have a funny accent? Although, it might be from jealousy.

You throw numbers out and talking points, but I am ready for your sources.
I don't hold anything against the "rich", I do hold something against those who pay no taxes who earn a living off of capital gains. I do hold something against the "trickle down economic system" you champion. It does not work, nor is it sensible. Why give the power to drive our economy to the top 1% of the wealthy Americans?
Why add $700 billion to our already bloated deficit by helping those who don't need it? And, the rich will receive a fair and equitable cut across their first $250,000 as will all citizens.
I hold something against a government who favours the rich. We all fall in certain income brackets and should be taxed accordingly. I pay more in taxes than others. Am I crying about it? Or accusing people of being jealous?
Uh, no. I am reasonable about it, and know that we have to all contribute according to our intake.

Trade gets demonized too often from the populist crowd but this is just another fine example of how trade benefit not just one country but both countries. It is important for the USA to develop important trade alliances with these up and coming countries like India instead of just ignoring them like the previous administration did.

I am just so thrilled that things are developing. Unfortunately, Obama's accomplishments are always drowned out, so any time a new one comes along, amidst all the unreasoned opposition from the republicans, I plan to post it.
It's progress, its slow, but we are moving forward. And this will help both countries. India is very impoverished.
