It sounds kind of far out, but I HAVE to share the greatest thrill I have had in a long time. I am working on a report that needs to be ready for Wednesday (the person I was partnering with just flaked out on me, leaving me to do the report alone )and I am doing online research. I decided to check my email and found a couple of new ones...one was from a strange address that I hadn't seen before. I opened it and was so thrilled to find a wonderful email from my eldest Grand Daughter that I haven't heard from for three years...because her mother is still upset at me. If I were in shape for it, I would be dancing for joy!!!!! I am thrilled and happy beyond belief, and hope that I can keep in contact with my Grand daughter! Have you had really happy news today????

That's great news Lovebear! You'll have a huge amount to catch up on over the last three years, no doubt. Enjoy having contact with your grand daughter and make every moment count. Good luck with the report!

That stinks that you are left to do this report on your own, but it's wonderful that your granddaughter contacted you. My hope one day would be that one or both of my grandsons contact me when they get older. Here I barely live 3 miles away from them and yet I don't know them. The only news I get is from my oldest son who lives with his sister and her family. (Of course I also hear the nightmares, how she allows her kids to scatter my older sons things across the house. This I believe is why she doesn't want contact, I don't stand for "animal" behavior from children)

Hi Loverbear~ I couldn't be happier for you to hear such wonderful news! I do hope that you and your Granddaughter can continue to stay in touch even though her Mom doesn't want to. Life is way to short to let anything stand in the way of communicating with those who you really love. I hope that one day she will realize this. I am just glad that you got such a wonderful surprise!
