When you carve away from yourself, it's called levering because you use leverage to do it. When you carve toward yourself, it's called pairing. A cut is called a stop cut. It has different uses. They sent me home with another magazine.
I hadn't done my homework very well. My strop wasn't made right. So he had to teach me how to strop a knife with his strop.
My thumb protector was OK, but I can't feel anything through it, so I may have to make a different one.
So have you learned some vocabulary for your craft? Like what?
Have you had to redo anything you learned?
Are their magazines with what you do?

My craft is writing and I think you know just as much of the vocabulary as I do. Why do you need a thumb protector. Redo anything I have learned? No. Wish I still had my books from the Famous Writer's School. Gave them all a way and was done with writing completely. Now I wish I had them.

You haven't had to redo your writing?
Sometimes wood has harder and softer spots. Sometimes you get your thumb too close on a pull back. The first sentence plus the second sentence can equal a really bad injury. Therefore, thumb protector.

I still don't understand what in the world you are talking about. Is this in technique or to keep you from mistakes or? Redo?
