Would You Date someone who smoked?

Life is funny. I've always disliked smokers since I was young & told myself that I will never date a smoker. When I grew up & started dating, all my boyfriends smoke, various degrees of intoxication. Eventually, I got married to someone who smokes heavily. Isn't this ironic? :P

My dad smoked & I hated smoke so I told myself I would never marry a smoker. Then when I met my husband, he smoked. But he promised to cut down. Now, after 6 years, not only did he not cut down, it got worse & he is a full-time chimney! Sometimes, it's really hard to say. But I still hate smoke & smokers.

I'm an ex-smoker and I would be afraid that if I dated someone who smoked, I would be too tempted to restart. So, no, I would not date a smoker because I would prefer to never tempt myself like that.

no. I hate smoker. Smoking is really bad. It can cause lung cancer and lots of other desease not only to the smoker but also to the people near the smoker. Recently a report show that more than 75 % AIDS carrier are smoker. Even there are no prove showing that smoke can cause AIDS but i strongly believe that there are connection between smoking and AIDS. One more things is that smoking wasting a lot of mioney. For your own good or for your family, STOP SMOKING if you are a smoker.

I did and I married him, My dad smoked too , Hubby smoked until he had his first heart attack then my father and hubby and daughter in law all stopped , When they were smoking I could never smell it , Now I just can't stand the smell . I have asthma and the doctor said it was caused by passive smoking xx

No, I wouldn't. From what I've heard it's like kissing an ash tray. I have friends that smoke and they smoke hard. I smell more like smoke coming from their place then I do when I come from the local casino. I couldn't start dating someone that smokes. Now, if the woman I was with didn't smoke when I started loving her and then she started later in the relationship, that may be different. I would do everything I could to get her to stop and learn why she started.

Well, I smoke so I guess the answer is yes! If I loved someone, a habit like that would not stop me loving them. It may not be a nice habit as far as making your clothes or your breath smell, but it is not an evil habit in my opinion. The only thing that would ever stop me dating anyone is if they went hunting, and killed for pleasure, or something of that nature. To me, they would have blood on their hands, and I couldn't bear to let them touch me, but other than that I don't care what they smoke or eat! And yes - my partner does smoke:-))

I'm a anti smoker to buddy! *high five! My father smokes and i hate him for it. (well when he does it because it's only going to take him away from jake and us.) I hate those who blow the smoke into peoples faces or light up near babys. it's sick and i count this as killing yourself which i don't like because i appreciate life. It's a shame. I'm anti-smoking too. I wouldn't date a smoker because of health concerns and I can't stand the smell- I couldn't bare to kiss a smoker!

well, i'm a smoker but my bf is not, we get on wonderfully well, but i have to make sure that i have some mints with me, so that i dont have ashtray mouth. to answer the question, i dont mind dating someone who smoke.

I'm a non-smoker . . . And actually did date a smoker back before I married, that relationship lasted to the first kiss. Ew! I swore off all smokers after that.
