I was going to work today. I was waiting to the elevator to open. There was a lady ranging from 40 years old who looks meticulous. She saw a friend running after for the elevator. From the time the elevator opened a big shout from Lady saying " Oh gosh, I believe providing an Air Freshner in elevator is prohibited." They didn't know the story about that incident." Do anyone knows about this Incident?

From what I understand that company does not allow it as certain people have a tendency to get sick while in elevators and applying a fragrance may cause them to get ill and throw up in the elevator. Which later cleaning has to be done and trying to avoid any potential law suits that people may bring upon stating they got sick during the elevator ride.

Although most elevator certainly could use an air freshener...probably they can't use them as with all the scents and such..someone will be allergic to the scent, get sick, sue the elevator company or store.

Hi. syotic20. I have never heard of this before. Maybe having an air freshner is prohibited because, some people will not be able to breathe in the various scents. They could become allergic if they already are. It could be rough for some people. I have never heard about the story of this incident. Maybe something drastic happened that was terrible.

i never heard before. but usually, there is no air freshener in elevator. maybe the case would be like in car. it is prohibited to turn on the air freshener when the car is park.

No, I've never heard of anything like this, myself. I guess it makes sense, though, because some people are allergic to certain fragrances. If it were a really strong scent, it might make some people sick.
