Good day! Facebook has been around for a few years now. And most of the world's population have facebook accounts, right? I know it is a good place to socialize and talk. But, lately I have been noticing that more and more people log-on to facebook, not just to socialize. But, I notice people getting on just to play games and spend hours and hours just doing so. Before, I was sort of into playing facebook games, but stopped because I found it boring in the long run. By far, the biggest game in Facebook is Zynga Poker. And followed by more others like Mafia Wars and the likes. So, I would probably want to ask the people on mylot, if they play games on facebook. And which ones? Do you think it is addicting or not? And why? Hope you guys share your views and comments.

Any game for that matter is addictive. But, in my opinion, games are also nice to have fun and relax. Getting out of tiring days and have less stress in life. Thank you for sharing and responding. Happy Mylotting.

I got addicted to certain games on twitter and facebook.... as I got so busy with my job and could not come over to mylot and other online sites, but could not leave my machine idle. I played certain games like the Kingdom of Camelot, etc .. and found them addictive. it is because of one's annoyance of online activities that one is getting addicted to these games.

Yes facebook games are addicting. I have spent lots of time and money on my Sorority Life game. Grrr. Just when I'm trying to save money and use my extra time online to make money I find a game that sucks me in so much that I start throwing money at it. On the plus side my levels went up. I'm the highest level of any of my friends... but they don't really play anymore. I have tons of outfits and lots of achievements. But I don't have anything to really show for it. It kind of drives me nuts!

Really? A game that you really spend bucks on? How can that be? But, I think it is actually a matter of controlling your self and not spend that much on buying stuff on facebook games. See t like you can never earn from that game right? Hope it helps. Thank you for sharing and responding. Happy Mylotting.

Hi, I am addicted to facebook, but not the facebook games. I don't like to play games and never have the thought of playing any of facebook games. My husband is addicted to Farmville and he will play it everyday, for me,playing games is kinda wasting my time and I prefer to do other online stuffs rather than concentrating on the games.

So, you are addicted to facebook but not the games in there? That is totally understandable as well. I think most females spend a lot of time tinkering on facebook for hours and hours anyways. Well, hope being addicted to facebook and such wouldn't affect your real life though. Thank you for your response! Happy Mylotting.

I play on loads of games that are on face book. Some of them require you to get things and send things like gifts every day in order to move up loads of levels really fast,so you feel like you have to go on there. Then there are the shop games and animal games and not forgetting farm games, that, yes, i play them all and yes they are addictive,as i am on there most of the time.

I really don't understand why people spend loads of time now just playing. Isn't facebook a social site where people can socialize?

I play a lot of games on facebook. I think they're just addicting and fun. :) The first application that I got addicted to is Pet Society, where you have a pet that you dress up and decorate his/her house and visit friends and earn coins. :) Second to that would be girly games namely It Girl and What to Wear - they're both fashion games. Another one is Office World where you perform tasks and help your officemates to level up. Another one that I just discovered recently is CSI: Crime City. It's cool coz I get to be one of the CSI team. :) I think that facebook meant to add more applications and games so that they keep their members in the site for hours and I think that's where they gain popularity.

Different people enjoy different things. I'm not really into all the games on facebook. I like the childish ones more. And once I sit at it, I find it so very difficult to get up. This though, has not stopped me from socialising on facebook. Its completely upto each individual.

No question the games are additive, as so many play at least 1 game. I'm playing 3 games and one I earn points, so it earns me something, so I'll keep playing to get gift cards. Its called Dumbville and yes others earn points when your wrong. Basically, you want to get a few friends to play that aren't good at the game. Another game I play is Farmville and yes you can spend hours fixing up your farm. I enjoy co-op farming, as you can level up fast with the right people playing the game. I like farming in the real world, so that is why I started playing online. My last game is Restaurant City and I'm a level 85 can't go higher, so I use to spend a lot of time leveling up dishes. Now I stop in every day do some crates and gift to others, so its very quick.

Well, any game is addictive. Even sports are addictive. I too used to play restaurant city then got totally board with it after a few months. Then I decided to stop. Now, I don't play any game on Facebook since I am very busy with school and fitness. Happy Mylotting. Thank you for your response.

I can say that Facebook games are kinda addictive but not that long. I played Farmville and Cafeworld and I say that I become addicted to it. There is an instance that I got pissed because there is no internet connection and all my crops in Farmville were all withered. But today I'm no longer active to farmville. In addition one thing that cause addiction in Facebook games is the peer pressure. What I mean is you are being influence by your peers. Whenever you are in your school or work they keep talking about the FB applications and you are outcast because you don't play. Then when you start to play, you and your friends will brag about your level, energy and etc.

Well, some people do get pissed because of having zero internet connection. I too am one of them. But, well people play games and some don't. People shouldn't be outcasted because of it. Hopefully, people could also keep it on a low down from time to time. Good luck! Happy Mylotting! Thank you also for your response.

I believe playing games on facebook is very addictive. I can get swept into a game and play for far longer than I thought. I like the mindjolt games myself. Short and done in one play. However, some people do go overboard. Especially with games that carry on over time. I know some people that played farmville and it was like it was ruining their lives. They had to be on it all the time or they'd lose crops and livestock etc. Some people based their lives on where and when they went somewhere because of this game. That's really silly in my opion. Definately the sign of addiction!

That is fine, as long as that addiction wouldn't interfere with your real life. Good luck and have fun with it. Hopefully, toning down a bit would be good. Thank you for your response. Happy Mylotting.

LOL I used to play Facebook games like Pet Society, Restaurant City and Fish World. And i also got bored with it, i don't really like those kind of games. I'm more into the PC games like CS, GTA, Burn out etc.. So yeah it depends on a person.
• Philippines

Well, I did play those games as well. And was sort of playing with it every night for a few hours. I too play games like Warcraft and the likes. It really depends but at some point in time, when you think you're not addicted the reality bites and you find your self you are addicted? Thank you for your response! Happy mylotting.

before farm town is one of the addicted games in facebook..but some of people plays yoville they spend some money just for the yo cash to build their house more unique, more interesting place and even in the event where they are making more money to visit some house and to meet more friends playing this game...for now, i guess the best game that the people working on is the farmville, this games is not really boring but you can explore your knowledge or you can work on by standing alone, to make more money by itself...explore the game and you will know why???

I know most people even spend and use their credit cards just to get stuff for their games on facebook. But why do people do that? Maybe due to addiction to the game? Or for maybe just for prestige?

Well, kids now a days can be seen with even a mobile phone or even an Itouch in their hands. Kids do have facebooks, and they even play more than me. Games in facebook should sort of me regulated that kids won't be so addictive to it? Anyways, Happy Mylotting! And Thank you for your response.
