Thinking about nothing in particular.

There are times where I am asked what I am doing and I say that I am thinking. However, when they ask what I am thinking about, I can't answer them, because there is just such a mish-mash of thoughts going on in my head, that it would take quite a lot of time to explain it. Do you find this happening to you?

Yes, I would just say, Ohhh you don't known to know!! And scare them off. Haha. Well, at least you're thinking about something... there are a lot of people who just stand there sleeping with their eyes open.

Yeah no kidding. There are a lot of people who look like they have space for rent. I guess the fact that I try and exercise my mind, no matter how muddled it might end up getting is a plus. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice a nice day and thanks.

Sorry, I just realized that I meant to write "Oh you don't want to know." Haha, I enjoyed this topic as well, thanks.

I knew what you were trying to say. That's all that counts.

I have experienced this too. I think much of it stems from an expression on my face, or an intensity of a look. Over the years, my wife has learned to avoid asking what I am thinking about, and usually leaves it at "Ohhh...you must be thinking about something." With someone that will be with you a while, I can say that if you run them through the thought process a time or two, they WILL quit asking int he future. Otherwise, with people that aren't in it for the long haul, I tell them I am plotting to take over the world, and figuring out how to exploit those that ask inane questions first. It usually works.

I remember one time where I did try and run the thought process by someone. I only did it one time, and I was confused, they were confused, anyone who might have been listening it would have been confused. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Yes this happens to me. It kinda irritates me when people ask about what i'm thinking cuz i can't actually explain it. Sometimes i just don't answer their question. It works most of the time. They just shut up and let me be. Lol

Yes there are just times where I feel like it would just be a waste of my time to try and explain it. Complex thoughts or even less complex thoughts that are not really related. Just bouncing from topic to topic to topic in my mind. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Quite often and it does frustrate me as when I go into deep though I sort of do not want to be interrupted, let alone go through the whole process.

It is frustrating to be interrupted. I just want to be left in peace so I can piece together the muddled thoughts in my mind. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.
