What's the best joke or prank you have ever pulled on someone?

Ok..my girls love watching the shows where they are pulling elaborate parnks on people. I have to admit that some of them were hilarious. I am a bit of a prankster myself but I don't pull any on a regular basis. I guess my children are the ones that suffer the most because I love to play around with them. My daughter was an actor at a haunted house and she had a great time scaring people and made some extra money too. I decided that me and my youngest daughter would visit the attraction and give her a surprise. I knew where she was working in the house and I was going to scare her instead..LOL...then when I got there..she had traded spots with another girl and I almost scared the other girl instead Oh well...they don't always work out. What is the best joke or prank that you have played? Do you play them sometimes?

That's a nice prank you did. Lol. I'm not a prankster but i know damn well it's fun to do it. I've made a couple of 'mistakes' in the past but i don't consider them pranks cuz they're not intentional at all.

It kind of backfired on me since she wasn't in her normal spot..lol..oh well...they are kind of fun if you have someone with a good sense of humor...if not..it can be dangerous..lol. I would consider accidental pranks some of the best ones..thanks for the response.

Sounds like that would have worked out so perfectly if your daughter hadn't had switched places with the other girl! LOL! I'm not much for pranks, but, I do remember one Halloween I was at a Denny's with one of my friends and I excused myself to go to the restroom. In the restroom I got out this long black wig with a white streak down the side and a hag mask and very casually walked back to the table. My friend looked at me like.....huh? And I just looked at her as if there was nothing out of the ordinary. You should have seen the looks that I got, especially from the kids! Whenever a child would look at me I would make like I was casting a spell on them and they would shriek and giggle! That was fun! Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

LOL...that would have been funny. I bet your friend never saw that one coming..lol...and for you to have kept a straight face...I bet that was tough. I can never hold out. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Jen! Thanks for the best response vote! By the way, many times the funniest comediennes for me are the ones who CAN'T keep a straight face while onstage! That makes it all the funnier for me! Happy New Year!! Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

I bet you are a lot of fun to be around friend. I have tried to keep a straight face before and for the most part....I can't..I end up laughing or something..lol. The look on people's face sometimes is enough to send me laughing...I think that is my favorte part. Sometimes in movies I think an actor can really pull of a moment just by a facial expression..lol..

I love it when things just fall into place when you are trying to pull off a prank on someone. I was getting my ex husband a nice set of knives for Christmas one year. He is quite the cook and so I thought having nice knives would be great for him. I found a great deal at the Mall and went to wrap them. I just happened to find a box from a bank(one like he had mentioned he would like to have for his change.) So I used that box to wrap his knive set in. Just the right size and everything. He took the wrapping paper off and saw the box for the bank and was really genuinely excited to think he was getting this. He started to put it aside saying he'd check it out later. I got him to go ahead and open it and look at it. He was so surprised to get the knife set! I loved it!

That's really fun to get someone unexpected with a gift. My girls like to sneak in and try and figure out what their gifts are every year. I try to wrap them oddly so they can't guess. They have got very good at that guessing over the years. Thanks for responding.

When we were school boys, we enjoyed the april fool day a lot. We often made our teachers fool. There were too many ways... we kept one or two legs of teacher's chair on a pit and when he sat on it... immediately fell down. When he asked for a pen...we offered him a pen without ink.and many more.... we were not scolded that day and teachers gave us chocolate for our naughty activities of that day. take care.

My brother-in-law (now deceased) loved to pull pranks, so much you never trusted anything he'd tell you. One time, I was out on my sister (now deceased) and BIL's farm in Oklahoma. We were rounding up and corraling cattle. As my sister and I were leaning over the fence chasing cattle down the shoot, my BIL zapped both of us in the butt with a cattle prod. I think both my sister and I flew over the fence. Dang that hurt. Later, we were putting up an electric fence to keep the cattle in. My BIL went out to see if it was working. But when he went out to check it, my sister and I turned off the electricity, so my BIL didn't get anything when he touched it with the stick. He asked us if the electricity was on, and we told him "yes". But it wasn't. So he tried checking it again -- nothing. This went on a few times with the same result. Finally, when we saw him reach down to test the wire with his finger, we flipped the switch. Standing in the wet grass, he got a jolt that knocked him on his butt. I can't say that cured him. The pranks continued. Fortunately, no one was ever really hurt. And we did laugh a lot.

I hate both of it.....its not funny at all. Most of the time the risks are overlook, if it happen to kids it might effect them as in retarded. Believe me i have a fren who being pull a prank on him when he was young, he was so teribbly shocked by the incident that now if he is caught of guard he will react uncontrolbly...think twice or many times before pulling one....as your sister she an actor at that location....is that fair for her? Its funny if nothing happens its a regretable thing if it did not turn out the way you expected.

Kudos to you, Jen, for your response! We're simply talking about silly stuff you do with your friends to make them laugh and give them a funny memory to look back on. Nothing serious to land them on the therapists couch. That would be cruel. I have some friends, too, who get angry with me if I simply joke with them about something. At the same time that I respect them and their wishes I also feel very sorry for them because of what may have happened to them in the past. Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

Easy tiger..I'm not talking about hazing or some cruel prank. I would never do anything that would "damage" my children or anyone else for that matter. I know there are people that don't like to joke around or play pranks and I respect you for your opinion. Thanks for the response.

i too love to watch shows that pranks people and truly i can say that i have a lot of fun watching and i laugh out loud with my wife. i dont pull pranks on her for i know she will give me a slap on my face har har har, but when i was younger me and my brothers always do that to our sister. we always make her cry with bugs and things that crawls. we also played a prank at our mom that started a fire har har har and we were tied under the stairs so we can not do anything foolish again. but now that i am matured although i can say that i still pull one but not as often when i was younger. i dont like someone get a heart attack because of me.

Oh maybe the time I unplugged somebody's network cable, taped it to another one and plugged that one in at the other end so it looked like her PC was hooked up. It was payback for her taping down the phone receiver cradle so that when I picked my phone up, it didn't really pick up.

I have a good sense of humour and love jokes and pranks although I am not too good at instigating them. My husband’s family are a bunch of jokers and they are tricking each other on a regular basis. One of my brothers in laws is a policeman and used to regularly call his mum and tell her that one of her sons had been arrested by changing his voice and pretending to be some obscure detective sergeant. She fell for his trick a couple of times and had got to the point when she knew she was too wise to be pranked again and she would get her own back the next time. She received a call late on a Saturday night and sure enough some obscure detective sergeant was on the line telling her that her youngest son was very drunk and was spending the night in a cell for causing trouble in the street. Well my mother in law saw this as the perfect opportunity to let her son know she was not going to be fooled again so she replied, “Sure, Paul I know it’s you…Cut it out, you idiot or you will have me to deal with!” And promptly hung up. She learned the truth about half an hour later when two policemen showed up at her door escorting her youngest son home!

Oh my..that is a great version of that boy who cried wolf story with a little twist. I guess after being fooled a couple of times it would be easy not to believe a call. I bet there is never a dull moment with a family of jokers..lol..Thanks for responding.

Hmm...as far as I know, I seldom pull pranks or jokes on anyone unless I'm really bored and want to find someone to play with. Well, for me, I love watching Just For Laughs Gags, where they pull pranks on unsuspecting people. I assume most of you here know this show. It's a super funny one and I love to watch it.

The best prank I ever did was when I was still in university. I had German measles and instead of going home or staying in a 'contagious disease' hospital, I stayed in the dormitory. My room mate back then already had it before so he wasn't afraid of getting sick again. I just stayed in bed the whole time. He would just bring me food to eat. After the 3rd day of being cooped up in the room, I decided to go out. I stuffed a bunch of my clothes and formed a person sleeping under the covers. Poor room mate, he started to panic when I would not respond to him. He almost killed me when I got back!

Well, the best prank I pulled really scared the heck out of my cousin. My and my cousin Tom went to take a walk outside, and planned to scare off his sister. When we got back, we thought about putting a small radio in the dresser where she would sleep that night. As night was approaching, we put the radio station into a really weird, squeaking broadcast. There was lots of yelling and scary sounds all about the broadcast. We made the sound a little low, so it wouldn't be totally noticeable. The next day after we woke up, my cousin who we played the prank on didn't sleep for the whole night. She actually thought there was something or some spirit inside her room. We didn't tell her what we hid in her room for another two days, but we broke up laughing and really felt happy we pulled it off. The cousin who we targeted has tried several pranks on us since then, but none of them have worked.
