I agree with some psychologists and philosophers that de javu is something real. Based from my experience, I have many wonders that I felt in seeing some things or thinking of a particular event as if it was happened in the past. But the failure is that we can never provide the exact details about it. It is just there inkling in our mind. The great thinker or so to say philosopher who might originate this thinking went back to the Greek philosopher named Plato. He said that we are born with innate idea or there is already an idea stamped in our mind before we are born. He justified this by saying that we have come from the real world or the world of Forms before we are born in this world or the world of the senses. In our previous world, our knowledge is perfect and we know all things. When we were born, our spirits have been trapped by the body and has already a limitation. Our knowledge of all things has been forgotten. The only way to recover them is through recollection or reminiscence. This can only be done through the mind and not by the senses. From this theory, many philosophers and psychologist developed this theory until this particular was coined in the French language as de javu.

Yes, I do sometimes experience the whole dejavu experience. I would be going somewhere and be having second thoughts and thinking wow Have I been here before. There are times where I have a dream about being somewhere and a few days later I would actually feel like I have been there in my dream but now in real life. It makes me feel kinda weird and wonder if I am psychic.

Yes, I have experienced this, and I don't really know the reason of this. There are many theories about this. One is that we had anterior lives and we were there at some point of our lives and that is why we feel awkward when we experience deja-vu. Personally, I don't believe in this things like many lives or reincarnation, so this explanation is not sustainable in my point of view. My personal opinion is that our mind is acting funny and that is why we feel that we have experienced that before.

Yes, this is a phenomenon which is called "Deja Vu" and has a scientific explanation. Apparently, there are two nerve veins in our brain which sometimes overlap momentarily. This leads to the Deja Vu feeling. Its something like you suddenly remember that you were in the same situation that you are in, and that it goes away! The Human brain is something which has not been been understood to the full and I find it ridiculous that we spend billions of dollars in projects like SETI when we do not know our brain's potential completely.

Hello blackcloud, Popular society refers to Déjà vu all the time, and for many unexplained phenomena. Unfortunately, all the popular folk lore built up about it, like in movies, is not Déjà vu at all, but instead commonly Precognition. The world seems to insist on accepting the contents of popular movies and TV shows, which causes immense confusion in all of this.. Scientists say that deja vu is actually not real. They say it happens when one eye lid closes a split second slower than the other one so you are getting the image twice therefore you feel like you actually have experienced it already. Enjoy your time in myLot, that is if you have not been here before

we can never prove if deja vu is for real or not. i don't think there's enough evidence to convince us...though i respect the fact that some people do believe it, while some do not. personally, i don't believe it...but the feeling feels so real, as if something that is happening at the present, has already happened in the past before... or maybe i've seen this happening before in a dream or a dream-like state... i experience that some times.

I'm not superstitous or anything but i've experienced this. I think i've been in a place i've been before. It's really a weird feeling. I don't want to believe in it but It's there. I just take it as a label or a name if it occurs again.

To be really honest, I have experienced De JaVu before. I really feel the ere feeling when experiencing dejavu. I always remember and realize that I have seen this somewhere then I realize it was in my dreams. It is actually a weird feeling. But, it is true. Happy Mylotting.

Yes, I have such experience before and I have read before why it all happen. Apparently, when the eyes see something, the sight will be transmitted to the brain. There is a time lapse between the eyes seeing and the brain deciphering it. It is this lapse that causes the de ja vu feeling, as if you have visited the scene before.

Yes I experience this kind of thing not really often but sometimes if I am able experience this one it is really kind of weird. "I have seen this place before" and "this already happened before". It seems like I have dreamed of this already. But there is one thing that I still haven't experienced yet that I have dreamt a long time ago and it keeps on returning back to me once in a while. The scene is.. I was in an exclusive village where the rain pours and I look up at a great mansion and the roof is made up of red brick tiles and it is at night. I could feel the rain pouring down on me so it means that I am not a resident of that mansion for sure. If it is going to be the future then why only that part that I am seeing. It is one mystery in my life that I want to know. Thank you for this discussion and it made me remember this.

I have experienced being in a new place but seems the place is really very familiar and i have experienced the exact same things or events already have happened before when in fact it was the first time it ever happened. I believe in de javu actually although i am really not sure of what the explainations are with these events or if there are really explaination for this.

Yes they are absolutely real. I have been experiencing a lot of those before. It happens frequently in a month and I like it, simply because it kinda makes me feel superior or magical LOL. I have also been dreaming some things while asleep, then came true. There's been less of those De Ja Vu nowadays but I hope I'll still have those whenever I need decisions to make. It helps too.

hello blackcloud! yes, i have experienced something like what you have described and i know that most people would level it as "de javu", but i don't really know if its real, if de javu really exists that is. You see, everything we see and hear could only be as real, as we believe them to be. There's a scientific explanation to what we have experienced but i just don't know how to explain it here. Besides, in this hi-tech world, we see places and people through different forms of media, that when we encounter personally such, we seemed to be familiar with it already, that we have already seen it. Facts are, most of these places we have seen through the television, movies, magazines and through other forms of media.

It is real. At least the sensation is real. But deja vu is a anomaly of the brain. It is an overlap between the neurological systems responsible for short-term memory and those responsible for long-term memory. So we don't need to think about reincarnation or about psicho abilities, there is a scientific explanation for deja vu. Here are some more explanation of the phenomenon: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=1006030902012

I have experienced it several times but I just don't dwell on it too much because it is something that i can't explain or justify but it's something that i often experienced. And it's not only the places but also the event too. Sometimes I would have the feeling that the event has already happened before and I can exactly remember the details.
