Christmas is fast approaching and what better way to celebrate it by giving presents/gifts to your loved ones, speaking of gifts, when we were kids I always thought that Santa Claus is real so we hung socks and wait for the gifts on Christmas day. Although he might not be real, I still appreciate the symbol that Santa Claus signifies and the joy it brings to the children. How about you, care to share your thoughts about Santa Claus?

I never believed in Santa Claus. My parents didn't teach it to me like that. One thing I am very glad of really. I would hate to find out later that they had lied to me about it all those years. Then I wouldn't know what else to not believe. We did play tooth fairy, but I really knew my daddy was the one replacing my tooth with money!

You make it sound like believing in Santa would change your life! hahaha I do undertand the disappointment when you find out, but trust me its not that bad. At least, you enjoyed playing the game even if knew right? ;D

When I was a small child I believed in Santa Claus. At that time I always celebrated christmas with my grandparents, my aunt, my uncle and my cousins. One year after dinner it suddenly knocked on the door. My mother and I opened the door together and she says that she will never forget the look on my face when I discovered Santa Claus in front of the door. It was one of my cousins who had dressed up as Santa Claus, but I didn't recognize him and I was sure that it was the real Santa Claus

I think alot of kids believe in Santa claus. When I was a kid I really thought that Santa is true and he's the one giving us the gifts. But when I was at the right age my parents told me the truth that it was not really Santa who's giving us gifts. Now, that I am older and have my own kids. I never taught my children that Santa is the one giving gifts to the kids. I taught them the truth about CHRISTmas, the true reason why we celebrate CHRISTmas. It's not about Santa and the gifts that signifies CHRISTmas. We have to emphasize to our kids that it's all about the birth of JESUS. Why don't we ask our kids what can be the best gift that they can give to the celebrator instead of expecting gifts from Santa.

yeah, of course i was really young. it was magical to have that belief. the magic of the world disappeared once i found out santa wasn't real which was a letdown at the time. i can say after that my eyes all of a sudden opened up to the real world. i guess you could say a big chunk of my childhood disappeared at that very moment. my friend told me when i was 9 that he wasn't real and i didn't believe him at first. he apparently woke up during Christmas Eve and was hiding behind the wall as his parents were preparing his presents that Santa was suppose to be bringing him. my parents of course told me he was right. even though adults lie about santa being real just the magic of believing it is worth telling children.

I know that Santa Claus origin was true that there was a generous man somewhere long ago who love to give presents however, I felt it bad that Christmas to some was diverted or rather equated to him. Let us remember that we give and celebrate Christmas because Jesus was born. When we were kids our parents give us presents but doesnt pretend to be Santa nor we didnt practice it with kids in the family. Santa Claus for us remain a Christmas decor hanging in our wall during Christmas.

I don't actually recall believing in Santa Clause. I use to go to Sunday School even before I started normal school so I'm sure that I knew Santa wasn't real, but I sure believed in receiving gifts on Christmas day. We celebrate Christmas as the birthday of Jesus Christ and bearing gifts is part of expressing our joy. Of course these days only the kids get present and sometimes to many in my opinion.

I haven't actually thought of Santa Clause every Christmastime. I'm 16 and I don't mind that figure anymore, he is still a common figure though. When I was a kid, I never thought he was real. We were already taught of that. I never actually hung socks during Christmastime, but I only place decorations LOL. We were also taught to made xmas decorations at school though.

I never believed in Santa Claus. I guess it's because my parents haven't got to me believe. haha. But I appreciate how Santa makes the kids happy.

Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year. I love to decorate around the house for Christmas. I believed in Santa when I was a child. I even had an elf that left us notes telling us to be good. lol So now I have a child myself and he believes in Santa too and he has an elf that leaves him notes telling him to be good and that Santa is watching him. I'm going to let him believe as long as he will. I love seeing him all excited on Christmas morning. I know some people don't do Santa in their house but we do in ours.

When I was small. You know, kids are gullible and will believe in things people tell them, easily. That time I stayed up late at night and waited for Santa but nothing happened. Nah...that really spoiled my mood and my sleep. But anyway, it was good that I actually believed in that. Nice one.

I believed there was a santa back then. I always stayed awake or tried my best to. I wanted to see him in person. During the night before christmas i stayed awake just before midnight. It was an exciting time of the year as always for me til i knew he wasn't true. Oh well, childhood really is a bliss.

When I was a kid I did believe in Santa Claus. I write letters and hung socks along with my sisters. Only when I learned that it was my mom and my dad who brought and wrapped the gifts and hid them from our sight that I realized Santa isn't real. :) But it was fun to expect that the gifts you wished for do come true, well the toys and clothes. :)

I use to believe in santa when I was still young but time passed by I have not receive any kind of gift from him. So by the time I reach the age of 14 every thing took it's toll on me. I stop believing in santa. There was this one time I saw a joke or parody whatever people may call it and I'll just tell the story here it goes. Santa: Happy birthday Jesus. Jesus: Thank you Santa. Santa: What's with the long face? Jesus: Nothing. It's just that I envy you. Santa: Why? Jesus: Most of the people remember you every time my birthday comes. But in my case they don't even find time to say a prayer and greet me.
